  1. Hey! I’ve been saying they should have a book of essay about stuff in The Office for awhile now, so that’s really, really cool. Not exactly what I imagined but…it’ll work, I think.

  2. So any ideas when they are going to release more Ricky Gervais tour dates? I might just have to go see him in LA. What say you, Mexicanity? Lets go!

  3. Too awesome. My friend and I were just talking about the inevitability of an “Office and Philosophy” book.

  4. Nice “about this site” page, very organized and informative, thanks!

[from tanster: thank you! :) ]

  5. That book looks pretty sweet. It’s funny, because I wrote a paper on political correctness on The Office for my media criticism class last semester, and that’s the topic of one of the essays in the book! It’ll be interesting to compare…

    Also, cute interview :)

  6. I didn’t like the interview so much. Ask more informative questions. Also, Costa Rica is more important than his sex life? Haha, typical John. But what a strange question to ask The Office-ial Nice Guy Jim Halpert. Did they forget who he is?

  7. I like the “about this site”, I never knew that OT was featured in the commentary, thats so neat! It’s rather sad that I knew everything in the little short fact part of the interview with John Krasinski. I need to get a life ;)

  8. Oh my god, that book…I can’t believe people wrote so much on The Office. LOVE IT. I will so buy it.

  9. That book looks AMAZING! Seriously, I can’t wait to buy it. I auditioned to speak at our high school’s commencement last year. I wrote a speech about “living for yourself,” using Michael’s “Business School” escapades as a frame for the essay itself. I wasn’t chosen as one of the two speakers–I was chosen as both! Just kidding. No, I didn’t end up speaking at commencement, but I was damn proud of that speech!

  10. When I saw the header at the top of the page with the snowy tv screen and the writers strike poster, I went “Awe…”

    I want the Office back.

  11. I can’t wait for the new book because I am a huge office fan, and I am a Philosophy major at Arizona State. Most of the Philosophy and Pop Culture books are hit or miss, but I hope this one will be great.

  12. “There are no words.”

At first I just thought it was a misquote of Michael’s “I have no words.”

    But no…that is really sad.

  13. I definitely intend on dishing out the bucks for Ricky tickets at Madison Square Garden. Thanks for the heads up Tanster

  14. Hi!

Just so you know, Jenna updated her myspace blog, too! YAY!

Can’t wait to read the book!

  15. I have to say it again, I really REALLY wish I could meet this man. John sounds simply awesome.

Keeping my fingers for the writers today. I miss you, Office :(

  16. Lemoñadé lets go! I can’t wait! We’ve been wondering if Ricky was going to do any US appearances, this just made my week!

  17. I knew i could count on you to go, Mexicanity!

Also Brett, you’re a Sundevil, too? Mexicanity and I are alums!

  18. I can honestly say I NEVER thought I would see the words Aristotelian Ethics and The Office in the same sentence…

  19. The book sounds really funny and entertaining, but I’m trying to figure out how a person could go from analyzing Wittgenstein–one of the most complex and brilliant minds of the 20th century–to “Family Guy” and “The Office.” Don’t get me wrong, I love both shows. I guess he’s just excellent at marketing his skills. Have to admire that. Maybe I’ll actually pick this up for Christmas. I know a few crazed fans who might enjoy it.
