Monday, July 23rd, 2007 | 192 commentsOfficeTally’s resident show analyst, bales, just posted that Emmy-nominated shows have until this Friday, July 27th, to submit six episodes for voter consideration, according to Tom O’Neil, GoldDerby columnist at TheEnvelope.com.
I believe The Office’s original submission, The Coup, will count as one of the six.
I’ll update the list as news develops.
In the meantime, which five other episodes do you think should be submitted?

The Office wins ‘Best Comedy’ TCA award
Saturday, July 21st, 2007 | 29 commentsThe TCA (Television Critics Association) has awarded The Office its Best Comedy award for the second year in a row. Awards were presented tonight at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
“The Office’’ producer Greg Daniels says he spent the whole day reading “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. “I’m on page 450, and it’s good,’’ Daniels says. “If we adapt it for American audiences, it could be really successful.’’
He then introduced the cast that showed up for the awards – and said how he would cast them as “Harry Potter’’ characters. Brian Baumgartner as Hagrid; Mindy Kaling as Pavarti, or Luna; Angela Kinsey as Delores Umbridge; Kate Flannery as Aunt Petunia; Oscar Nunez as Viktor Krum; Leslie David Baker as Mr. Dursley and Creed Bratton as Lucius Malfoy.
Congratulations, Office gang!

My phone call with Jenna Fischer — exclusive!
Thursday, July 19th, 2007 | 124 commentsWhen I got home today after work (yes, I know it’s hard to believe, but I do have a full-time job outside of OfficeTally), I had a lovely surprise waiting for me in my inbox — an email from the newly Emmy-nominated Jenna Fischer, asking if I would like to chat briefly with her this evening.
Um, yes please.
She had decided not to do any formal interviews today, preferring to give an exclusive to OfficeTally to thank the fans! How great is that?
Emmy reaction
Thursday, July 19th, 2007 | 52 comments- Rainn Wilson in People: “I’ve actually rented Björk’s swan dress. I know that’s kind of recycling, but I saw An Inconvenient Truth.” NEW
- Michael Schur to OfficeTally: “It is so rewarding to get an Emmy nomination for Best Interview Subject for my work on OfficeTally. But all the credit has to go to tanster. She’s the one who asked the questions. (Honestly, it is an incredible feeling. The entire staff could be nominated, so I feel very lucky just to have this job, much less get nominated for something.)”

Greg Daniels and B.J. Novak interviews
Thursday, July 19th, 2007 | 7 commentsSPOILER WARNING! IGN talks to The Office’s Greg Daniels and B.J. Novak about the conclusion of Season 3 and plans for Season 4.
IGN TV: What did you think when you found out how the Season 3 finale was going to end?
Novak: Well, as one of the writers, I was there for the whole process. I was thrilled. We had talked for years about Ryan maybe becoming Michael’s boss some day, and how funny that would be — to see that reversal. [Steve] Carell has brought it up to me, and the writers have pitched it at various times. So for me it was so fun to have something new to do.
