The Bobblehead Baton Contest

The OfficeNo new Office this month. We need a fun distraction. Wanna play?

Then enter our Bobblehead Baton Contest!

Send us a video of your Dwight Bobblehead moving across the screen.
(And you do NOT need to own a bobblehead to participate!)

seat18b (of It’s Getting Hot in Here and Fandomicity fame) has graciously agreed to produce the final video, which pretty much guarantees that it will be cool and entertaining. She’ll select the best clips and merge them into a single video.

A single video of Bobblehead Dwight being passed like a baton across the Office fandom. And that’s a beautiful thing.

The BBP is inspired by and completely stolen from GMail’s “Red M” collaborative video project.

UPDATE: I’ve changed my mind about the whole “no prizes” thing. See the “How to win” section for details.

Details after the jump.

B.J. and Jenna’s appearances

I’ve been told that B.J. Novak and Jenna Fischer are both making live appearances today in Los Angeles:

Please note that neither theatre lists B.J. or Jenna by name. I will try to get confirmation, but it may not be in time … if you attend and get to meet them, come back and post your report and/or photos!

Tori’s Christmas Video

From Tori:

“The strike started one month ago. While negotiations are ongoing, it’s pretty clear we won’t see a Christmas episode of “The Office” this year. Don’t get me wrong, I fully support the writers and the WGA. But, the Christmas specials hold a little spot in my heart because “Christmas Party” was the episode that made me a regular viewer of the show.

I put this little Christmas video together for the fans, writers, cast and crew of the show. Miss you!

P.S. Anyone want to Yankee Swap an episode of “Celebrity Apprentice” for some real television? Write a letter.”

No more product placement in The Office?

In a story about product placement that took place on a recent ’30 Rock’ episode, the Hollywood Reporter also includes some interesting observations about ‘The Office’:

… “30 Rock” has made it onto Nielsen’s list of the top 10 shows with product placement only one time since the fall season started. “The Office,” another NBC show known for cutting major integration deals with advertisers in the past but which insists it no longer is involved in any such deals, turned up on the Nielsen top 10 list for four of the first five weeks of the fall season.

The Office Hallmark holiday cards

The Office

Hallmark is selling two holiday cards that include audio clips from The Office.

First card

Front: So many reasons to be merry …
Inside: Have the greatest Christmas of all time!
Audio: Christmas is awesome. First of all, you get to spend time with people you love. Secondly, you can get drunk, and no one can say anything. Third, you give presents. What’s better than giving presents? Fourth, getting presents. So four things, not bad for one day. It’s really the greatest day of all time.

Second card

Front: Christmas is a time for giving …
Inside: … and receiving. Happy Holidays
Audio: Presents are the best way to show someone how much you care. It is like this tangible thing that you can point to and say, hey man, I love you this many dollars worth.

These cards are available at Hallmark.com as well as stores like Walmart.
