  1. Awesome! I love how that office worker near the door was taking pictures/recording with his cellphone.

  2. I can’t believe he got arrested! I guess he deserves it though. Wonder where he’ll be next season…

  3. I actually searched for it on YouTube, but to no avail.
Going into the world of “The Office”, I wonder who at the corporate office uploaded it.

  4. Ha ha. I really, really want a scene next season with Kelly visiting Ryan in prison… track suit, her hair did, and all.

  5. …It hurts a lot not to be able to see it (I’m not in the States). Can someone please tell me what happens? Ryan’s face in the photo makes it look like it would have been a hilarious video.

  6. NBC and all sorts of unions are involved, so unless they make some 1 time deal (or someone else puts it on youtube) it’s not allowed.

  7. John PM, I wondered the same thing, but it could have been anyone, there were strong hints that Ryan wasn’t too popular at the corporate office

  8. I want to see this actually on YouTube. Not because I see YouTube as the end all and be all of online video as many people do, but because in the episode it is actually on YouTube.

  9. Awww….the look on his face.

I’m so glad it finally happened. Now Ryan can go back to being the hot temp and forget about his corporate douchebaggery.

  10. I just noticed a guy in the video was filming it with his phone, that adds to the reality of the situation and explains how it could’ve ended up on youtube.

  11. Does anyone know if the first cop out of the door (the second one, taking ryan out of the building) is Michael Schur? It looks so much like him

  12. I so called it. I knew that everyone was looking at something about Ryan. I knew it! I have a gift… well, maybe just a bit of an obsession.

    Fantastic Finale!!!

  13. #17 I think you’re right- good catch!

How on earth did they manage to make me feel bad for Ryan here? The deleted scene with him in the convertible made me hate him so. much.

  14. I so called this. hehe. Does anyone else see the potential in this? Can you say Arrsted Development? LOL.

    Fantastic finale.

  15. Ha ha after everybody thinking the ‘Art Booth Guy’ was John Krasinski, I wouldn’t think anybody was anybody, even if they were.

  16. Hey, at number 27, you can see several other people filming Ryan getting arrested on cell phone cameras as it is happening. I would say that pretty much everybody would put it on youtube in 2008.

  17. OMG! I knew OfficeTally would have this. :)
Anyway, Doesn’t the guy filming it look a TEENY bit like Jack McBrayer from 30 Rock? It’s not him, but he kind of looks like him.

  18. OMG, I love it! When Ryan was being a d*ck to Jim on the phone earlier in the episode, I was so mad! This was sweet justice. What a little punk.

I seriously thought he would burn out from the drugs and get busted with that, though. This was a funny twist, as we all knew Ryan’s fate would not be a good one. Nice one. :)

  19. I’m so glad this got posted! Who would have thought that the temp would be a criminal?

  20. I was thinking you could *salvage* the Ryan character by having him get busted for drugs and go through some employer-sponsored Rehab stint. Not now, though. With Ryan leaving and Toby leaving, that pretty much leaves Mindy as the only writer/actor. Please don’t take away such classic lines as “Ryan used ME as an object” or her messed up “romance” with Darryl.

  21. FutureDwight, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Ryan, there are a thousand ways they could return to the character, he could cut a deal with the DA as many white collar criminals do. But we haven’t seen the last of Ryan.

  22. Yep, I like the old Ryan better. His transformation in Season 4 was too strange and quick. If he’s gone, I hope he remains gone or else bring him back as the old Ryan.

  23. I can’t believe I have to wait 5 months before I find out what happens next! Andy’s proposal was upsetting, but not as upsetting as thinking that Pam might start to have negative feelings toward Jim, since she thought he was going to propose. It was good to see that Jim has a good backbone; he’s usually the nice guy who just lets things go, but I’m glad he stood up to Ryan. It all seems too obvious now that Ryan was double-counting sales. Toby can’t be going! On the other hand, I love the new HR woman. Finally, someone who would be good with Michael. Someone he can actually censor his inappropriate jokes around. Writers, my heart is torn, yet I’m happy/sad/anxious/blahblahblah. You guys rock!

  24. I totally agree with number 36: Emily. Ryan has been treating Jim horribly. Anyone notice the bad treatment started after he found out about Jim and Pam dating? But I’m glad Jim was the bigger man and stood up for himself.

  25. honestly, I loved the season 4 Ryan just as much as I loved Ryan from the previous seasons. It was very entertaining to see him think he was the hottest thing in the world, and I think it was in character for him. I always thought he would be the kind of person to let power go to his head.

  26. Maybe Ryan will rejoin Dunder-Mifflin through a work release program a la The Convict?
