Hollywood Reporter reports that FOX has picked up Mindy Kaling’s comedy:

The Office’s Mindy Kaling stars as a young Bridget Jones-type doctor as she tries to navigate her personal and professional life in her untitled project. Kaling will depart the NBC staple to focus on writing, executive producing and starring in the comedy, a passion project for the actress. The Office’s Howard Klein will executive produce alongside Kaling and her now-former co-star, BJ Novak, who served as an EP on the pilot. Ed Weeks, Chris Messina, Anna Camp, Zoe Jarmon and Dana DeLorenzo co-star, while Bill Hader, Ed Helms and Richard Schiff will guest star in the pilot.

Sarah says:

“Greg and I arrived at the show in full VIP treatment. I was SUPER nervous to meet Rainn and Mindy (who wouldn’t be?). So I asked if I could see them before the show. Rainn was in full get-up for the opening number and hugged me immediately (he truly is a nice guy!). Mindy was so nice too (she smells really pretty!). We took the standard celebrity and fan photo op, but when I asked for a silly face shot, he immediately went for Greg’s jugular (there is some Dwight in him at heart).

Thanks so much to the MONA Foundation, Tanster and OfficeTally for this amazing experience!”
