Total Axxess interviews Angela Kinsey

In celebration of The Office’s Emmy win on Sunday, Total Axxess is re-airing the interview it did with Angela Kinsey tonight at 7pm Central.

The interview originally aired on August 10th, and since then, audio clips have become available (Clip 1 | Clip 2 | Clip 3 | Clip 4), but the clips DO NOT include some of the choicest Office tidbits.

Some of the Office highlights missing from the audio clips:

• Who has the real scoop on Season 3? The writers may be tight-lipped, but the wardrobe staff knows the details of the first six episodes of Season 3, and this is where Angela herself gets the scoop! Anybody here got a contact in wardrobe? ;)
• How Madden Football impacts the cast (and their trailer locations). During lunch breaks, Angela, Jenna, and Steve usually have lunch together and chat about their families. John, Brian, and Rainn however, dash into the lunch line, fill up their plates as fast as possible, and then retreat to John’s trailer to compete in Madden Football. It gets so rowdy during play time, that Jenna actually had to move her trailer away from John’s because of the noise!

• Didja notice all the updated cast photos over at the NBC Office site — check out the employee badges of Jim, Pam, Dwight, Michael, and Ryan in the banner, and also the pix in the Bios section.
• Quite a few of you asked about the song used in the Season 3 promo video featuring Jim and Pam. The song is called “Stars,” performed by Lamar (according to this post at the NBC Office Boards). NBC has now posted the song; listen to “Stars” here.
• For you John Krasinski fans, check out an incredible collection of unpublished photos from the Improper Bostonian shoot John did last December. VERY VERY NICE. (See the original photo and article over at GMMR.)

The Office wins two TCA awards!

The TCA (Television Critics Association) bestowed The Office with two awards tonight in Pasadena:

• Outstanding Achievement in Comedy
• Individual Achievement in Comedy, Steve Carell

Congratulations to the Office cast and staff! And it looks like almost the entire cast was in attendance, which must have made for some serious festivities …

“Three average guys” from Frisco, Texas, talk to Angela Kinsey about a variety of Office-related topics, including:

• Oscar’s talking-impaired moment in a future webisode involving the word “Seiko.” After about 18 takes, he finally nailed it.
• Angela’s inability to keep a straight face during the bologna and ketchup sandwich scene from Michael’s Birthday.
• More details on what’s going to be on the Season 2 DVD set, including the fact that almost every episode will include commentary!
• And of course, no interview would be complete without a tantalizing little thought about Season 3 …

• I caught Angela and Brian (Kevin) goofing off!
• Not exactly Office-related, but if you’re a Melora Hardin (”Jan”) fan, check out melora.com. Did you know she’s a singer? If you love this genre of music (which I definitely do), check out the audio clip Heaven and Earth, as well as a video montage of her songs. New episode idea: Jan serenades Michael while out on a date! Hmmm …

TV Guide podcast mentions The Office finale

I’ve been a regular TV Guide podcast listener since the beginning — the program is sharp, funny, occasionally ribald, and always entertaining.

But one thing I started to notice is that they hardly ever discussed The Office.

That is why I was happy when, on their special 50th podcast released yesterday, the TVG crew discussed The Office season finale (around minute 18).

Angel Cohn said it was the “best finale of the whole season” and “fabulous fun stuff.”

Daniel Manu said “I can’t imagine The Office finale not being my top three favorite of the season … possibly my top two.”

It wasn’t a unanimous verdict, however. Michael Ausiello said he liked the finale, but can’t stand Dwight, calling him “the low point of the show for me.” (HUH?!)

WKLH interviews John Krasinski

Milwaukee’s WKLH 96.5 radio interviewed John Krasinski (”Jim”) on Thursday.

John once and for all confirms that he is, indeed, the voice behind the Ask.com commercials!

Thanks to Andrea for the tip, who, by the way, is the same Andrea whose questions got asked at the beginning of the interview. Way to go!
