Win a walk-on part on ‘The Office’!

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Sierra Mist is sponsoring another contest for a chance to win a walk-on role on an upcoming episode of The Office!

The Grand Prize includes:

One trip to Los Angeles, California, for winner and guest, and an opportunity for the winner to participate in a non-speaking walk-on role as an extra in the taping of an upcoming episode of “The Office.” Prize includes round-trip air travel, hotel accommodations for three nights, and ground transportation.

Click a link of one of the participating NBC stations below for more information:

The contest ends June 1st.

Unfortunately, as with last year’s contest, it’s limited to a few select cities. If you’re lucky enough to live in one of those cities, read the rules carefully and enter every day until June 1st, ’cause I want a Tallyhead to win this thing and report back!

I’ve added a link back to this page under “Activities” in the sidebar for your contest-entry convenience. :)

You know how much fun you’ll have if you win? Check out last year’s winner’s report.

Hey! Nielsen trivia challenge and interview

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

The Office

Hey! Nielsen is a TV and movie site brought to you by the same folks that put together the traditional Nielsen ratings.

They are running a trivia challenge (including OfficeTally questions!) and giving away a prize pack worth $1,000 — including a Sony PSP and Apple iPod nano!

They also interviewed me about OfficeTally, and I got to blab about my obsession. :)

‘Dan in Real Life’ giveaway

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

Steve Carell Dan in Real Life   Okay Tallyheads, this is not exactly Office-related, but I’ve got two “Dan in Real Life” DVDs (SRP $29.99) to give away!

I thought the movie was very sweet, and that Steve Carell made a great Everyman romantic lead. My favorite DVD extras were, of course, the outtakes (the first thing I ever go to on any DVD) and “the making of” featurette, which brought a tear to my eye.

Here’s a video clip from the film —
I call it Pancake Rage.

Friday, February 15th, 2008

We’re still about two months away until the next new episode of ‘The Office.’

In the meantime, you don’t mind if OfficeTally runs a few more giveaways and other distractions, do you?

Didn’t think so. :)

The Office DVD Wall Calendar Giveaway

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

The Office

The Office DVD Wall Calendar 2008, which I posted about previously and consider the best Office calendar out there, is starting to run out in stores.

Thank goodness the calendar makers, Trends International, sent me a bunch of them to give away as prizes. Thanks, TI!

Jan. 1: Giveaway #3

Giveaway question: Name five real people, living or dead, who have been mentioned on a televised Season 4 episode of The Office. Each person must come from a different Season 4 episode! To enter, post a comment. You must include the first name, last name, and episode the person is mentioned. Winner will be chosen randomly among eligible entries.

(Eligible entries must include a valid email address, and correct spelling and punctuation. Duplicate entries will disqualify you. If you’ve won a calendar during a previous giveaway, you are disqualified as well. US and Canada only, please.) This post will be closed to new entries at 5pm PT. CLOSED. Next giveaway coming soon …

Giveaway answer: Mark’s entry included Ben Kingsley (Dunder Mifflin Infinity), Al Roker (Launch Party), Eddie Murphy (Local Ad), Zoran Primorac (The Deposition), and Meryl Streep (Money), but there were many other possible answers.

Giveaway winner: Mark

Tallyheads, show me a sign

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

Are you trapped in a house where people are watching the Patriots/Giants game, and there’s nothing for you to do?

Yeah, me too.

Let’s have a little impromptu contest:

  • Create a sign with any of these nifty sign generators.
  • Your message has gotta be Office-related.
  • Upload your sign somewhere (DO NOT link directly to atom smasher), then post a link to it in a comment below.
  • Include a valid email address.
  • One entry per person.
  • U.S. only, please.

Contest ends when the Patriots/Giants game ends.

I am telling you upfront that I will be totally arbitrary in how I pick prize winners. There might not be any, there might be a few. I might award Target goodies, or maybe even one of those highly-sought-but-impossible-to-find Office DVD wall calendars. Dunno.

Okay, show me what ya got, forward it like it’s hot …

THE CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED (8:22pm PT).

See prizewinners after the jump. Thanks, everybody, for playing!

Post now reopened for comments. No new entries, please. Thanks!
