Catch ‘The Rocker’ in L.A. last night?

TallyHead Hayley, who was doing her part to help Free Jenna last night, received one of the best accidental ransom rewards to be had … watching ‘The Rocker’ with the cast and crew of The Office last night in Los Angeles!

Hayley reports that she was running a little bit late, and when she got to the movie theater at Universal Studios Citywalk, the movie had just started. The theater was about half-full, and when the lights came up at the end, she realized that most of the people seemed to know each other.

Then she realized that in the middle of the group were none other than Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, and John Krasinski! Oscar Nuñez, Kate Flannery, Brian Baumgartner, Melora Hardin, Creed Bratton, and Amy Ryan were also in attendance, along with Greg Daniels and about twenty crew members!

Man, what a lucky girl.

Hayley mentions that the cast signed autographs and took photos with fans after the movie. Were any of you there as well?! Please tell!

  1. If that was me, I probably would have passed out in a fit of joy.

[from tanster: me too. i woulda been flabbergasted.]

  2. I’m surprised Hayley’s alive after that! Everyone’s right – passing out would’ve totally been the way to go.

  3. for some reason things like that never happen here in Utah. I’m super jealous though. The only people in my theater couldn’t seem to figure out how to whisper rather than shout.

  4. I just got back from watching The Rocker, and I was in the theater all by myself … and I thought THAT was cool! LOL I, too, probably would’ve passed out in Hayley’s situation. What an awesome coincidence!

Side note – the movie was SO much better than I expected. I laughed, I cried … it was GREAT. :)

  5. Like everyone else said, I’d probably pass out. (or have found someway to embarrass myself while watching the movie) That’s so exciting, though.

  6. Oh my gosh! What a great surprise and I sooooooo wish I had been there. I’m sure I would have been hyperventilating with excitement and not even know what to do at that moment.

I will definitely be seeing that movie this Friday to help free Jenna and since I’m in Indiana I highly doubt the cast of the Office will be there, but I can hope :)

  7. That would have been awesome! I went to see it last night and there was about 10-15 people in the theater. That was easily the funniest movie I’ve seen in a while. Hilarious!

  8. Well shame on Rainn for not even letting Jenna out to see the movie she’s being imprisoned for!

And that is something that I would only dream of, NEVER to happen in real life. You’re a lucky girl, Hayley!

  9. Very, very cool. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself.

I’m glad that Amy Ryan was attending with the core cast. I take that as very encouraging for her character’s endurance on the show.

  10. Wow. Wow wow wow.

And there I sat in the near-empty mall cinema in WV, silently cursing the 10 or so giggly junior high girls scattered about to see Teddy Geiger – as they stomped up and down the aisle steps in their pink and purple Crocs and texted their BFFs through the whole thing.

Not the greatest movie, not the worst… but Rainn was wonderful. I love that man and his flabby, pasty ass. He is a god.

(Not only is he adorable, but the tweens let out the unholiest of shrieks every time he flashed some skin. Philistines! I prefer to think they were squealing a la the Beatles’ appearance on Ed Sullivan.)

  11. OMG! I just melted in my chair reading that!!

You totally hit the jackpot there!!!

  12. ::faint:: That’s one lucky fan…

I did my part to free Jenna by dragging my husband (who hates going to the movies) to Century City this afternoon and watching it…

  13. WOW!! Congratulations! That sounds like it’s straight out of some dream sequence…

  14. You’re really lucky! I can’t even dream to see them because I live really far from the US (actually I live in Spain).
