  1. Creed and Ed should definitely form a band like the actors from House and Heroes did(BandfromTV.com)and play some shows for Charity, they’d be the coolest bluegrass outfit around.

  2. Awesome! I don’t think I’ve ever heard him sing before–I tried to check out the Grass Roots after I saw Creed play guitar in the Booze Cruise deleted scene. I like the Bob Dylan vibe.

fyi, when I right-clicked I was just given the option of open with… and not any save options.

  3. Wooow! That was really REALLY good! It had a real Dylan feel to it. Bravo to you, sir. Bravo to you!

  4. How nice of him! It’s a great song, very happy sounding. I love it! Thanks Tanster and Creed.

  5. Wow, there is a lot of people downloading this like XD It’s just an MP3 file, but i have a estimated download time of 15 minutes >_<

  6. Creed rocks. I also really like the song he wrote/sang (Spinnin and Reelin) on A Benihana Christmas.

  7. Great stuff Creed! I’m anxiously awaiting the album release. Hopefully it will be on iTunes, but if not, I’ll get it however/wherever you release it.

  8. I love it! This is fantastic! And that Ed Helms is on banjo makes it all the more fantastic.

Tanster, please tell me there will be a CD giveaway!

  9. Cool song! Thank you, Creed! I’ll definitely be buying the album when it comes out as well. :)

  10. i was lucky enough to see him perform this at ed helm’s hams and jams earlier this year….my friend and i have had it stuck in our head for ages, I’m so pleased to have it on my itunes now :)

  11. I don’t know what “The Rubber Tree” is but i’m doing it! I seriously love this song. I also love Creed I hope he’s in the episode tonight! :)

  12. It’s great music, so easy to listen to :)

Thank you Creed – I could listen to you all day.

  13. This has been in my playlist for a while now. Guy knows what he’s doing — it is definitely better than what is popular on the radio and on the iTunes charts. Keep up the good work, and yea, I will absolutely buy the next album.

  14. That video was adorable! Creed, Ed, and a sweet-looking doggie – doesn’t get much cuter than that. :)

[from tanster: wasn’t the doggie cute? loved it. :) ]

  15. I hate to be that person, but I just don’t like the general spirit of music.

Just kidding. That’s such a fun song.

    [from tanster: haha!]

  16. I love this song!! So fun!! And I love the randomness of the video — the dog roaming around, the guy taking out the garbage in the background, Ed Helms drinking coffee…please make more music and videos, Creed!!

  17. Creed–you are amazing! And Ed! And the rest! It reminds me a little of Bob Dylan(pretty much my hero).

Also, Ed–you look cute with a little beard growing.
    *unless I totally hallucinated that*

  18. I couldn’t stop laughing throughout this video – very nice! The dog was adorable, and Ed’s banjo skills were very amusing. The song is stuck in my head now! Let it be known you have an Aussie fan!

  19. Love it! The song makes me happy and the video makes me smile. Also, I would like to hang out with Creed please. And Ed. And the dog. Is that so much to ask?

  20. Very nice, but you guys have way too many teeth to be hanging around with banjos. — chas

  21. @39–but Ed Helms is missing a tooth!

[from tanster: hahahahaha! best reply to a comment i’ve seen in awhile!]

  22. Great tune! Great video depicting a band actually performing music and having fun in a back porch environment. Wow, rock is not dead after all.

  23. Great song, Creed! I like the melody and the rhythm- very catchy.
Ed, I love the banjo- it really gives the song character. That and you looked very cute all scruffy:)

  24. That was fantastic. It’s so great to see Creed and Ed hang out outside of the Office set and do a song together. Looks like everyone was just enjoying the day and each other. I couldn’t get the smile off of my face. And I love the song. I’ve got it on my phone now and I’ve set it so that if someone texts me, it plays! It’s a great song to kick back to. Great job, guys! Great job.

  25. aww I love creed, he’s adorable. Love the song too, it’s really catchy.

  26. What a fun song! Creed, does the dog in the video belong to you? He was great, too.

  27. hey I loved this song! loved the casualness of all of it. the catchy words made me feel good. loved seeing Dan! He’s my cousin and the best! the bango added flair too. good luck! I wanna hear more songs please!

  28. Great stuff Creed. As others have mentioned, the song puts a smile on my face everytime I listen to it. Thanks for sharing!

  29. Great stuff, Creed! Great job to Ed Helms, too! I can’t wait for the album to be released.
I was amazed to find out you were in The Grass Roots! I always loved your character on The Office, I have had some great side splitting laughs from your performance, happy to see you are also a great musician as well.
    Good luck with Bounce Back!

PS my dog had the same surgery, I think (assuming he is yours). He shakes his head (and ears) until the veins burst inside because he gets ear infections. I saw the bandage and said, hey someone else with a crazy dog!

  30. Creed, this is the best song I have heard in years. I watch this video many times everyday. I hope your band swings through NC sometime so I can see you perform live.

  31. Awesome. Really enjoyable song, and a real delight to see Creed getting his back musically. This makes me very happy. THANKS!!!

  32. I am trying to figure out the lyrics, but they aren’t online so i am playing it by ear. So far i believe I have got them all except at like 2 syllables I cannot decipher:

“The swarthy gentlemen heads into town,
    Without his family _____,
She’s a young blood in snake skin boots,
    He’s going down low.”

What is in that blank part? It is like two syllables and it sounds like “and toe” but that would make no sense…. could someone please help?

  33. I wake up to this song every morning. It’s a good pick-me-up song. I especially like Ed Helms on the banjo. Great song!

  34. Outstanding! Please when in hiatus from the office and if you feel like rockin, and aren’t in the old rocker’s walker make a trip to minneapolis! good tunes!
