The original writer (Francis Veber) is very skilled at low-key buddy movies, even if his recent stuff can get quite formulaic. Unless the adaptation totally screws it up, it should be quite funny. Steve is perfect for the part, the director did "Meet The Parents" (but also the not so good sequel), which is very close in tone to this one, the supporting cast also features David Walliams (the tall guy from Little Britain), so I'm starting to be optimistic.
