Dunder Mifflin makes a wish come true

“Visiting offices isn’t usually high on wish kids’ lists. Unless, of course, you’re talking about the office of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company — the setting for NBC’s hit comedy The Office. Sixteen-year-old Anna wanted to visit this office more than any place else in the world …”

  1. ‘The Office’ cast is one of the most amazing groups of people ever :)

  2. This not only makes me love The Office folks even more, but all of humanity :)

  3. That’s so sweet. I’m glad that Anna had her wish come true (:

  4. What a great story…another reason why The Office is the best show on tv!

  5. That’s so awesome! Also, is Oscar giving her bunny ears in that picture?

  6. That is probably the sweetest thing I have ever heard. I love how down to earth and genuine the cast and crew are. It makes me even more proud of this best show on earth.

  7. On Facebook this same girl posted even more photos in one of The Office groups and commented on some of them. It really is a great story! :)

  8. That is awesome. It’s cool that she and B.J. still talk, too. They really do seem down-to-earth.

  9. that’s an amazing story. the part where ms. fischer gave anna advice on making it in the film biz was very touching. i really do see the office cast and crew as being really down to earth…if you think about it, in its four years, there has never been anything negative said in the media about any of the cast and crew…

  10. That is such an amazing story! I am crying over here! Thank you so much to the Office cast members and crew for making that wish come true for her!

  11. As much as I love the television show “The Office,” I know my interest (a.k.a. obsession) wouldn’t be NEARLY as much if the people associated with the show weren’t as gracious and caring as they are!

Thank you, cast and crew, for making this girl’s dream come true. You are amazing. :)

  12. This article was incredibly touching. You can just tell that the cast and crew are some of the most down-to-earth, humble people in Hollywood. I like. . .”so much about the things that you choose to be!” (Casino Night) Yay to The Office!

  13. How cool is that? This is what sets this show apart from the others.

  14. That was wonderful; I got tears in my eyes. What a sweet girl! The people involved in The Office are an amazing group. They’re so down to earth and big hearted that it’s astonishing.

  15. That’s a heck of a wish. My sister’s wish when she was sick was a trip to the Mall of America. I was 13 at the time, so you can imagine how that was for me :P Thankfully, my sister has long been cancer-free and healthy.

  16. I literally had tears in my eyes seeing her pictures with all of the cast. That is so sweet of them to do that.

  17. As funny and talented as “The Office” cast and crew are, I can honestly say they are even better people than they are actors. And that’s saying a lot! Stories like this just prove what a special group the folks on “The Office” are.

Tanster, I so appreciate the tireless work you do in keeping us informed of all things Office. This story makes me love the show even more than I already did.

[from tanster: my pleasure. :) ]

  18. I’m always so touched by all the stories from Make-A-Wish foundation. I teared up reading this! I am an assistant (to the.. hehe) manager at a Coldstone Creamery and once a year we have a day where the local Make-A-Wish kids come in and hang out with the local Las Vegas (or Hawaii… I worked at two stores) celebrities. I almost never make it through work without crying on those days because those kids are so special and they have so much to offer the world. Thanks for posting this, it was heartwarming.

  19. that’s beautiful! it’s so nice of them to do that for her =] and i think it’s touching. i wish her well for the rest of her life. and i bet this will be a memory she’ll cherish all her life!

  20. How sweet. My brother was a wish kid many years ago and we went to Disney World. I always treasure the memories from that trip – I hope this family feels the same way about their “Office” visit! :)

  21. I agree, #17 MNFan. That was such a sweet story! And she and BJ still keep in touch-awwwww. I hope she gets into USC–that’s a great place to be if you want to go into the entertainment business!

  22. As a cancer survivor myself, having been in remission for 15+ years and very familiar with the great work Make-A-Wish does, this was fantastic to read. Definitely got teared up.

Anna, congrats! You just made MY wish come true, too!

  23. I just read that article and it was so inspiring! I hope all her dreams come true.

  24. Just another reason the cast of The Office is the greatest in the history of the universe.

  25. My daughter is a Make a Wish child. The organization works so hard to make each child’s wish very special. Anna seems like a sweetheart and knowing her wish was made so extra special for her touches my heart. The people from The Office are amazing and kudos to the Make A Wish Foundation!

  26. What a great story. Wow, BJ is so sweet- it’s kind of a shock after seeing him playing an a-hole for so many months!
