According to ESPN, John Krasinski and Ed Helms will be sideline VIPs at this afternoon’s big USC/Ohio State football game.

Are any of you guys going?

  1. One of my friends/coworkers is going to be there. She works as one of OSU’s recruiters and usually gets to watch the games from the field, so she might be able to see them.

    [from tanster: cool!]

  2. Oh, WOW!!! I just became a Freshman at USC and I am totally going today!

Guess who is not going to be waching the game and instead looking for Jim and Andy!

    I’m so excited now.

  3. How exciting would that be – to not only get to attend a game of this magnitude, but to be on the sideline! I know they’ll have a blast. I’ll be attempting to live vicariously through them as I watch the game alone on my couch. :)

    Go Trojans! ;)

  4. UPDATE: I called my friend and let her know John and Ed were going to be there, and she told me she got a press pass (she interns at NBC) and will be interviewing people, and she’s going to try to interview them and get a picture with them. She said she’ll probably get really nervous and make a fool out of herself, but who wouldn’t?

[from tanster: yay, photo! tell your friend not to be nervous! john and ed are both super nice. :) ]

  5. Well, I don’t like EITHER of those teams…

You can’t spell “sucks” without USC. And any school pretentious enough to put a “THE” in front of their name is just ridiculous.

But I still love Ed and John. :)

    GO IRISH!!!!

  6. GO TROJANS!

My brother goes to USC and he’s going to the game. I told him to take pictures for me if he sees them! XD

  7. I got to work the sidelines for a USC game – what a trip! That crowd gets serious! John and Ed should have a ball. And I was already going to watch…so double WAHOO!

  8. Awesome. I wish it was at Columbus…I totally would have gone. Not only JK and Ed, but also Kaitlin Olson, aka “Sweet Dee” from the other funniest show on TV, “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” is supposed to be there as well!

  9. I wondered if anyone of those guys would be there :)…I bet they’ll be rooting for USC since they live in CA now…LAME! Go Bucks!

  10. I wonder if John will still be attending given the tragic news of David Foster Wallace…

  11. If I would’ve know about this earlier, I would have watched for them during the game. That way, I wouldn’t have been totally depressed while watching Ohio State get their butts kicked by USC. :(

Is it the 25th yet? :)

  12. Zac, I totally agree.
Although if i would have seen them in USC gear, it would have been the ultimate roller coaster of emotions

  13. #29 I was so sad to hear about David Foster Wallace’s death. What a sad day for the literary community. My thoughts go to his family and friends.

  14. I watched the entire game and never saw any celebs. Brent Musburger mentioned the high number of VIP passes that were handed out but that was it. I hope some pics come out soon!

    Gig ’em, Aggies!

  15. I missed that game. Did anyone actually see them there? I was watching Utah totally DOMINATE Utah State! Go Utes!

  16. UPDATE: My friend didn’t see them, and therefore didn’t get to meet/interview them. She did meet Denzel Washington and Henry “The Fonz” Winkler… But they’re not as good as John and Ed.

  17. #32 Luke: John was a huge fan of Wallace’s work and has been working for some time now on a movie adaptation of Wallace’s book “Brief Interviews With Hideous Men.” No doubt John was saddened to hear about his death.

  18. Luke, Wallace wrote the book “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men”…which John turned into a film.

  19. #32 John has been working for 5 years on adapting Wallace’s “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men” to the big screen.

  20. I’m a senior at USC and was at the game, 3rd row right by Trojan Nation, and didn’t see John or Ed on the sidelines. I did see Henry Winkler, Marcus Allen (always at the games), Denzel Washington and Nick Lachey on the OSU/USC sidelines, however.
