  1. Looks pretty funny. Idris Elba’s character is gonna have good chemistry with Michael. Should provide some funny/awkward moments.

Oh yeah and … JIM IN A TUX?!?! I’m all smiles :)

  2. Haha I can’t wait for this episode. I also immediately perked up when I saw Jim in the tux!

  3. Oh my…Minor, Chris Minor! I cannot wait for this episode! 1 minute and 30 seconds of one of the things The Office does best — awkward tension! Thanks for sharing the link!

  4. I think Jim’s tux has something to do with the prank he pulls on Dwight in this episode. I can’t wait to see it!

  5. Hmm, I just figured that Jim was in a tux because he had to look presentable for the new VP since he is the number 2.

  6. Yeah I think Jim being in a tux has to do with the prank. Still looks funny–like always

  7. I don’t know why Jim’s in a tux…
but boy-oh-boy does it give me fantasies about the JAM wedding. :)

  8. John Krasinski in a tux? Thank you, OfficeTally, for making this girl’s night :)

I do have a suspicion that it has something to do with the prank he pulls on Dwight… Which I, for one, am waiting notsopatiently for lol

  9. Stringer Bell on the Office…. unreal. Our 2nd The Wire cast member now – i love these writers. Can’t wait for the next one…

  10. I wouldn’t get your hopes up about the JAM thing. If you read the description of the episode it says Jim pulls a prank on Dwight. It looks like the tux has something to do with the prank.

  11. Jim Halpert in a tux! It’s my dream come true! Man, oh man…now, I’m wondering why Mr. Halpert is all dressed up, but whoa momma does he look good!

    I can’t wait!

  12. Perhaps Jim’s tux has something to do with Michael’s birthday, which is in mid-March.

  13. I still can’t believe Idris Elba is on the show now! I can’t picture him as anyone but Stringer Bell. This is gonna be good. :)

  14. Oh No…Jim is in a tux, and the new no nonsense boss is in town. Yikes. This looks great. Can’t wait!

  15. This looks like sheer frigging brilliance. Idris is playing SUCH a perfect straight man and that just makes Michael even better. Ah, but I’m getting ahead of myself, I should wait for the episode to air…

  16. #9-it’s this week. There are two episodes listed for the 19th, that’s why it looks like the episode is the week after.

  17. Paul Feig, the director of this episode (according to imdb.com), went to my high school!! I’m super excited for this episode! I think it’s going to be epic. And classy, of course!!!

  18. Tanster – wouldn’t Michael’s 15th anniversary at the company really be next year?

  19. I don’t think that NBC should release so many sneak peaks. One Minute means 1/20 of the whole episode. But maybe those are deleted scenes, like they did in “Goodbye, Toby” in Conan O’Brien, once.

  20. Good – hopefully the “new boss” can put the smug Jim in his place. Instead of the usual show angle of making Jim this infallible everyman who never errs.

And it looks like we’ll have even more “uncomfortable” scenes with Michael. Whereas Michael’s inane behavior was amusing in earlier seasons, by now it just seems so cartoonish.

  21. Smug Jim?
    *shakes head and rolls eyes*

I thought Jim has been very thoughtful and sweet this season especially…never really smug. Jeez, William Charles Schneider. You sound like Ryan.
