  1. That is the best news ever! So much to be excited about – supersized Office, the return of Scrubs (!) and finally, FINALLY a kickass must see tv lineup on NBC! I can’t wait! Thanks for the info.

  2. Happy, happy, joy, joy! The supersized episode is on my birthday! I could NOT be more excited.

  3. That’s just a great line-up all together. And that was very nice of them to give us a super-sized episode without even petitioning for it. It’s like they’re finally starting to get us.

  4. I cannot begin to express the happiness I feel, knowing that the craptacular Deal or No Deal will no longer taint my Thursday night TV watching!!!

    …and, Yay!!! I love Scrubs!!!

    And, WHOOPIEEE!!! Super sizing!!!

This is all such great news!!!

And, yes!!!! I love exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Possible spoiler alert!!!

There was talk a while back of an episode called “The Merger”. Sounds like this could be it.

  6. wait, so what time will the office be playing? at 8:30? (9:30 eastern time) like, as in the same time as grey’s anatomy? my two shows can’t air at the same time!

  7. Hey Anti-Soccermom…I could not agree more regarding Deal or No Deal. It will be nice to get it out of the Thursday night line-up.

Thursday night will be must-see TV again.

  8. Let’s just all remember the greatness that was the last super-sized Office, Casino Night. Tanster, look what you started? We thank you thank you thank you for beginning such an awesome trend!

  9. Thanks Dan!!!

I wonder who actually watches that show? Howie Mandell groupies I guess.

Geez. That make me sad just typing it!

  10. AHH I LOVE THIS SHOW

Is it bad that I’m practically counting down the hours till the next show every weeK? I’m a little sad there’s no [new] show this week…

And yeah, judging by how kickass “Casino Night” was, this one should be fabulous. I can’t wait.

  11. This could very well be the coolest thing NBC has ever done. I am so excited! And as excited as I am about about The Office being extended for at least one episode, I’m even more excited that [Scrubs] is coming back to TV early! And I wasn’t able to watch 30 Rock on Wednesdays, so maybe now it will be more easy to watch!

  12. NBC really wants their viewers huh. hehe I mean they’re #4 right?

Great news for the office, I’m excited to see the episode thats airing that night. WOOHOO

  13. Drewjames- where’d you hear about the name? And I agree… thanks for the revolution tanster!!

  14. YAY!!!!!!!! Scrubs, Scrubs, Scrubs!!! Office, Office extra Office!! I am so unbelievably happy! It is ridiculous how happy I am.

I guess that means we can forget about 20 Good Years, right? My mom won’t be too happy. She’s a sucker for comedies about old people.

  15. If NBC thinks that the solution to their viewership is to make the dedicated Office fans watch for longer…I’m ALL FOR IT.

    Hooray!

    btw, thanks, Tanster!

  16. This is amazing news! I think that could be a really great NBC Thursday night lineup…and Scrubs is finally getting some respect! :-)

  17. I bet that the supersized episode takes place as one of the branches, Scranton, takes in new employees from Stamford. Afterall, it is the episode after Branch Closing.

Oh, and it is sad that 30 Rock will now be opposite Grey’s Anatomy, are you with me?

  18. november 16th is my birthday! great birthday present, yay.

and i’m also very excited that scrubs is coming back so soon.

  19. I guess I am one of the few females in the world who doesn’t watch Grey’s Anatomy. I don’t watch anything actually besides The Office. Perhaps I’ll give Scrubs a shot. Being number four when there are a gazillion channels doesn’t seem like such a bad thing.

  20. I wonder if they are shooting the show specially to fit the 40 minute slot or if they are just using one of the condensed 20-minute episodes and re-adding all the stuff they cut out in order to trim it down. I really hope it’s the former.

  21. i’m sad that 30 rock is going to be on at 9:30. I’m not ashamed to admit that i’m grey’s fan, so i’ll never see it now. Personally, i think Office should be on at 8 (its a better show than m.n.i.e. on soooo many levels) and 30 rock should be on at 8:30.

  22. I usually watch Grey’s Anatomy but I honestly don’t have a problem dropping it for Scrubs. Scrubs is a much better show than Grey’s anyway.

  23. Don’t worry, you’re not alone i love beets. I too, a member of the female population, do not watch Grey’s Anatomy. And I don’t really want to, either.

  24. HOT. HOT. HOT!!! I’m so excited for this new lineup.
Scrubs and The Office? what else could anyone possibly ask for? OH YEAH!
Earl and 30 rock are the cherries ontop of a perfect night.
I’m going to have to start booking Thursday nights off of work!

  25. Emily,
I mean, based on Nov. 9 title, that would make sense. Where’d you read that?
    It makes me squee.
And, does we all hope that Ed Helms and Rashida Jones become permanant figures? Seriously, I’d love Karen at least to become a true member of the big 5 (Pam, Jim, Dwight, Michael, Ryan), which I guess would become the Big 6.
    J

  26. Total change of subject – Why isn’t John Krasinski my future husband) writing any episodes? Didn’t he go to Brown U for playwrite?

  27. For what it’s worth, I’m a guy and I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy either. Scrubs, on the other hand, is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows (I’m catching up on old Scrubs episodes that air from 7pm to 8pm every weeknight on Comedy Central). I have actually altered my after-work routine to be home by 7 every night for Scrubs.

  28. I’ve kind of hated myself for continuing to watch Grey’s. It’s just bad, but there’s nothing better on – except now there’ll be Scrubs and 30 Rock – YAY! Now if there was only something to replace the suckfest that has become Lost!

  29. YAY! this has made for the most-perfect-day-without-new-office-episode EVER! plus, its my birthday, so doubly awesome!
