  1. What a great suprise! I was thinking we had to wait until April 12th! That’s not sooooo bad.

  2. Thank you Jesus. I would never make it any longer than that. Heck, if it wasn’t for spring break, I’d be having withdrawls right now.

  3. Yay, great news! So this is the episode that we saw at Paley, right? We only saw 15min of it and based on that, this is gonna be a really funny episode!

  4. Does anyone know when 30 Rock goes on hiatus? It’s aired two new episodes past Cocktails.

I know this isn’t 30Rocktally, which would be a killer site by the way, but y’all should all be watching it. Just for all The Office shout outs it has.

  5. Yay for new episode! Re: post #7, I don’t have spring break, so I’m feeling the full impact of Office withdrawal right now :(

  6. “NBC is really trying to salvage 30 Rock.”

    As they should.

This is wonderful news! Thank heavens for supersizing as well.

  7. 30 rock has been making me laugh more than “The Office”. I feel like I’m cheating on my favorite show.

  8. Yipee!

Seriously, they’ve been extremely generous this year.

2 Producer’s cuts, Supersized “Merger”, Hour-long Christmas episode, Hour-long finale, “Newpeats,” a marathon hosted by Toby, and now a supersized yet-to-be-named episode.

They sure do know how to cater to fans.

  9. Thank god! I was really worried it would be longer! Now I can start marking off my calender! thank you for the info

  10. Oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little pissed that “30 Rock” headlined the release. But awesome none the less.

I’ll be back from vacation just in time to catch the episode live. Awesome.

    And super-sized? This is amazing.

    :-D

  11. Funny how they use “supersize” more often now. Kinda like… that Supersize the Office movement… Did we start a trend?

  12. Actually, my season three set of Scrubs mentions two “supersized” episodes. Must be an NBC thing.

  13. 21: “I was really worried it would be longer!”

That’s what she said! Um, to that other guy…

  14. Wow, it’s about time! I’m already X-ing off the days on my Office calendar.

Why isn’t there an episode on March 22nd?

  15. Probably because we’re getting seven sandwiching that week. With new footage. And Toby.

Damn, it feels good to be an Office fan.

  16. Melissa in NC…..

On March 22 they are showing Earl from 8 to 9.

I am actually glad that they are putting 30rock behind the office permanantly, i think its a good move on NBC. I hate to say it but scrubs might not be back next year, since its getting shafted by 30rock, with the time change.

Also good news, Kevin Reilly signed a multi year contract with NBC recently, and we all know that he is The Office savior, so who knows how long he will want to keep it on now

  17. No, they used to supersize comedies in their Thursday comedy block years ago. They were 40 minute episodes called “Super sized” episodes. NBC has done this long before the office petition.

  18. I don’t really like 30 rock. I prefer Andy Barker and of course Scrubs. btw you can see andy barker online. all the episodes. GO.

  19. Damian thats awesome. Kevin Reilly is our Office missionary. Screw 30 ROck though, it blows. Office 4 LIFE.

  20. i can honestly say that i really enjoy all these shows.

i am glad that nbc realizes what a fantastic lineup of comedies they have, and i hope none of them have to be sacrificed in the next few years.

  21. I think Scrubs might be back next year; I feel like I recently read an article that Zach Braff was set to become the highest paid man on TV (not that he can touch the salaries Kelsey Grammer and the “Friends” guys pulled in, but still…), which makes me think there’s another year of Scrubs ahead.
I’ve watched an episode or two of 30 Rock; tracy Morgan drives me nuts, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it could be. Still 523532 times better than Ugly betty…

  22. yay! the Office is coming a week earlier than expected! thanks for the news OT, I’m so excited! my Jim-fix will be quenched soon enough!

Me, too. 30Rock has earned a spot on my must see list, along with The Office, Amazing Race and 24.

30Rock sealed the deal with Pee Wee as the Hapsburg prince.

My ideal Thursday night schedule would be Office, 30Rock, Andy Barker and Earl/Scrubs.

Give 30Rock a chance, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are great together.

  24. Is it weird that I feel like running to my calendar and writing “THE OFFICE–8:00” on April 5th?

I’ve never even *thought* about putting a tv show on my calendar before!

  25. Dying Star, that is in no way whatsoever weird.

And, once again, thanks to NBC for making this supersized! And, hint hint, you should make that standard! One-hour Office! :-D

  26. Yeah, I pretty much have been cheating on The Office with my mistress “30 Rock” all season long…
30 Rock has been suprisingly funny all season…just like the 2nd Season of the Office. This season of Office has been great also, just not as good as 30 Rock.

  27. I don’t really like Andy Barker, PI, so far. I’ve watched 3 episodes on iTunes, but I really love the other NBC comedies shows. (Earl has gotten kind of old lately) but 30 Rock is extremely laugh out loud funny and zany, while Scrubs has been a consistently good comfort show for 6, going on 7 years.

  28. I really don’t understand the attraction to 30 Rock, I do not think it’s funny at all! Maybe it’s just the character’s I don’t like… I also can’t tolerate Scrub’s… The main character just grates on my nerves!

  29. steve carrell was on earlier and they said more people will be on from this office on channel 955, a radio station in detroit.

  30. > I really don’t understand the attraction to 30 Rock,

I accidentally tuned in to 30 Rock last week, and thought:

    A. It was very funny, and

    B. Tina Fey is HOT.

Also, Alec is funny and Tracy is hilarious. So, will probably watch it again. Did I mention how darn good Tina looks? Yow she looks good.

  31. YAY! even though the office should be extended to 24 hours, a 40 minute new episode works. Can’t wait to see if Ed Helms is coming back, He is such a great comeadian!

  32. Forgot to add:
If Jim dies I will die with him! oh, but before that I kill Roy… lol

  33. “The Negotiation”
    .
SALARY NEGOTIATIONS DRIVE MICHAEL TO THINK ABOUT HIS OWN PAY– Darryl (Craig Robinson) decides to meet with Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell) to negotiate a pay increase. Meanwhile, Jim (John Krasinski) deals with the consequences of Pam’s (Jenna Fischer) confession to Roy (David Denman) . Rainn Wilson, B.J.Novak, Melora Hardin, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Angela Kinsey, Oscar Nunez, Phyllis Smith, Minday Kaling, Paul Lieberstein, Creed Barton, and Rashida Jones also star.

  34. Can anyone explain to me why they’ve been showing so many reruns of the Office? It seems like everyone expected it, but I still don’t understand why. Is that normal for a show to be on hiatus for over a month?
