Well the Prism DuroSport is actually a Creative Zen Microphoto, which by the way is better than an iPod. I have one and it is asesome. It surprises me that Creative didn’t want to advertise, especially with a show as immensly popular. But I have to give props to the writers. Good work.

Hi you guys. Over at theofficeforum.net we were trying to figure out who might be the source of these sites. I wrote to B.J. (at myspace) and asked him if the writers had done it and he actually wrote back to me! Here’s what he said:

“It isn’t us!! We were delighted and bewildered to find it.

B.J.”

This was confirmed too by dunderball who did some digging and found that the sites are not owned by NBC. So the mystery continues . . . .

The review was done as an April Fool’s joke by a fan, but I can’t figure out if the Durosport website itself was created by Office fans or by the writers. Either way, it is very funny.

The best post has to be on the one titled “Cassette Player Died” on the PrismDuroSportSucks blog. The poster explains his/her 18,000 mp3 collection was inadvertantly all converted into dt6 format, and now must be converted into cassette tape to be played. And the cassette player on their Prism DuroSport 1 just died. I’m still giggling about it.

I think my favorite part is the “Patented Super High-Intensity Toggle” with 72 positions! They have a pdf file of a “toggle template” that just shows 72 tickmarks — without indicating what they do… and it says to refer to the website for their function! And where you click to allow the song to play is one position away from where you click to delete the song and report yourself to the RIAA! ROTFL

That is funny. I like that it has longer battery life (on the first charge). And it’s great that the very first FAQ is if it’s radioactive! The FAQ’s are probably the best part.
