Season 2 DVD menus!
Thursday, July 13th, 2006Thanks to OT reader Nick for pointing me to the screenshots of The Office Season 2 DVD menus over at DVDActive.com, which I have to say, are beautifully designed. (Scroll all the way down, past the box shots.)
But Nick asks, “Am I crazy or are there no Jenna Fischer Home Movies? I thought she said in her blog they’d be on there.”
Good question … perhaps these are just preliminary designs?
SPOILER WARNING! Includes titles to all ten webisodes.

Tanster, I know that this is an old question, but do you know if “Behind the Scenes of the Commentary Sessions” that is listed here was put on the actual S2 DVD set?
[from tanster: good question! no, i don't believe it was!]
17 | sorano916 Tue. Jul. 8, 2008 at 6:31pmThere is no behind the scenes commentary commentary on my disc 4…
16 | Brandon Tue. Oct. 3, 2006 at 10:24pmI LOVE these people for putting in so many special features. Seriously, I applaud them.
15 | Cameron Sat. Sep. 9, 2006 at 4:56pmI can’t wait to hear David Denman to comment on the dundies kiss and casino night kiss. LOL
14 | sabrina Mon. Jul. 17, 2006 at 12:20pmVery excited, but I did not realize just how disturbing the original Dwight bobblehead looks. I’m not sure I’d want that nodding at me all day.
13 | Jay Fri. Jul. 14, 2006 at 1:39pmI just remembered this from Jennas myspace blog
“I am pretty sure my home movies from behind-the-scenes at The Office made the cut!”
Maybe the “Behind the Scenes of the Commentary Sessions” is what she is referring to?
I’m also sad that Steve Carell isn’t on the commentary, but totally understandable cause he’s a big star now and he’s likely super busy
12 | Art Fri. Jul. 14, 2006 at 12:00pmThese menus look AWESOME! I feel like such a dork for being so excited!!
But no Steve Carell on commentaries? *sad*
I agree with Art, it’s almost like a law that there should have been a commentary for The Fight and The Injury.
11 | Boss of Dancing Fri. Jul. 14, 2006 at 10:51amI’m so excited for this dvd! However, like Art said, i was a little disappointed that they didn’t have commentary for all the episodes, especially my favorite, The Injury (but you do have a point, it would take them forever).
I also share disappointment w/ GMMR and others about John not being on the commentary for Casino Night. If there was ever someone that NEEDED to be in the commentary for that episode it was John. Very disappointing. Plus, he’s only on two commentaries, not nearly the amount i wanted (i guess i was spoiled from the S1 commentary where he spoke in every single one). I assume it has something to do w/ his movie schedule and therefore wasn’t able to make it to every commentary. I don’t know, just hoping for more John on the commentary (especially Casino Night and Booze Cruise).
Plus, Jenna said that she was pretty sure they were going to put her videos in, so i’m sure there’s more extras on the dvd not shown here, so i, too, am not worried. Still excited to get this, though (don’t let my complaints confuse you)! ^_^
10 | OfficeAddict Fri. Jul. 14, 2006 at 10:34amNice. They really took the time to make the DVD set look great. An obvious difference from the season 1 set.
I was hoping for commentary for all episodes but I knew it was a stretch because that would take a long time and I know the actors are busy. 8 is better than none.
No commentary for The Fight or The Injury? =(
Very happy they have deleted scenes for all episodes.
(As said before) No bloopers or Jenna home videos? Hopefully they make it in somehow.
9 | Art Fri. Jul. 14, 2006 at 9:40amSweet - it’s packed with lots of fun stuff. I hope to see Jenna’s home movies make it in.
But, as GMMR said earlier, I am bummed to see that John won’t be commenting on Casino Night.
8 | lindsay Fri. Jul. 14, 2006 at 8:25amYou never know, maybe bloopers and Jenna’s videos are Easter eggs
7 | GMMR Fri. Jul. 14, 2006 at 3:16amIs that little red heart with the smiley face the thing that fell off Jim’s lamp in the opening where Dwight knocks it over while on his fitness orb? I’ve always wondered what that thing that went bouncing across the desk was.
6 | HYP3R6IR1 Thu. Jul. 13, 2006 at 9:35pmThose are not all the menus, many are missing. There’ll probably be more “special features” than we see there. Not worried.
5 | Kev Thu. Jul. 13, 2006 at 9:04pmno bloopers?
4 | sabrina Thu. Jul. 13, 2006 at 8:40pmYOU ROCK!!! That is so awesome. But I am sad that we don’t have Steve or John’s commentary on “Casino Night”. I was holding out hope.
3 | GMMR Thu. Jul. 13, 2006 at 8:14pmAw! The picture of Pam “From Jim” on the Webisode menu is so cute! Maybe these will be animated menus or something unlike the first season ones that were so..thrown together at the last second.
2 | Diana Thu. Jul. 13, 2006 at 8:11pmWow, those look great! WAY better than the Season 1 menus…
