Steve Carell nominated for Golden Globe

The Hollywood Foreign Press announced its Golden Globe Awards nominations this morning.

The Office’s Steve Carell is nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Comedy or Musical Performance by an Actor in a Television Series. Steve won the award in 2006 and has been nominated every year since then.

Congratulations on the nomination, Steve!

The Golden Globe Awards will be hosted by Ricky Gervais and air live Sunday, January 16, 2011 on NBC at 8pm ET/5pm PT.

  1. It’s bogus that the show didn’t get nominated for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

  2. I’m happy for Steve, but as usual, I can’t believe the show itself was shut out again. It makes the Golden Globes seem less credible to me when talent like that is ignored, but maybe I’m just too passionate about The Office. Not like anyone will give me a hard time for that here. ;)

  3. I CAN’T BELIEVE THE SHOW WASN’T NOMINATED!!!! Does that mean we won’t be seeing the cast there? What a SHAME! I’m looking forward as to what Ricky Gervais has to say about that, though!

  4. Congratulations to Steve – very well deserved, especially this year! I’ll keep my fingers crossed! (It’s too bad there isn’t an award for best guest performer in an awards show – Steve would win it every time.)

  5. Sure i’m biased, but i still say it’s absolutely ridiculous the show itself wasn’t nominated. It’s improved this year tremendously. What a huge disappointment. They all deserve some acknowledgment.

But of course well deserved Steve!

  6. It just proves that all those jokes Ricky Gervais makes about the Golden Globes not being very credible and how you could probably buy yourself a golden globe is true! It is totally unbelievable that the show wasn’t even nominated for best comedy! But congratulations Steve!! Also he better win an emmy!!!
