  1. BAWHAHA- good one, Stitious.
I am DEFINITELY hoping to see “the jacket”…especially if he goes on the Today Show again.

I have never been a huge Terry Gross fan, but the interview with Jenna a couple weeks ago and this one with Steve have me reconsidering…

  2. They just announced on CNN that tonight’s Larry King Live will now be an entire hour dedicated to Tim Russert, who passed away this afternoon. So it appears Steve will be bumped (if it’s a pretape they’ll air it another time, but if it was supposed to be live it may not be rescheduled).

  3. CNN.com shows that the interview will be shown tomorrow night. Tim Russert’s passing is so tragic. It was hard to watch Tom Brokaw struggle through delivering the news this afternoon.

  4. #1- I wonder…

Also, Larry King rocks. He is so cute, in a little old man way!

  5. On Larry King Live, he just announced that Steve Carell’s 1/2 hour interview segment which was taped earlier today will air tomorrow due to breaking news of Al Gore’s endorsement of Barack Obama.

  6. Oh how I love Steve Carell! He looks mind blowing in “Get smart”.

  7. poor Steve keeps on getting bumped first brokaw now something else with obama this makes me go grr

  8. I really wonder how Larry King got his job since he is such a horrible interviewer. Steve looked great though. Wow he’s awesome.

  9. Yeah, I loved how Steve talked about Colbert and Phyllis–I thought that was sweet of him since it was HIS interview.

  10. The E! video just reminds me how funny Nancy is. I’ve watched nearly all the videos of her on thedailyshow.com and she’s great. I realllly hope we see Carol again on the show…perferably soon.

  11. i saw an unscripted interview with steve carell and anne hathaway, he said that he’d love to get colbert on the office as jan’s ex husband. that would be genius!

but steve carell has to be the most humble person in hollywood.

  12. That office fan asks a dumb question! If I could talk to Steve Carell I would definitely ask something else besides Jim and Pam’s wedding!

  13. Steve is coming to Australia! And there are rumours that he will be going on the Australia Big Brother show. Don’t know if it’s true or not though.

  14. Steve Carell is so effin’ funny and not at all full of it. I love him. That said, c’mon, Steve, you’re on the writing staff, drop us a spoiler. :P

  15. Caught Steve on Letterman last night – very good interview (and he looked really cute!) He and Dave interact well, like they have known each other for a long time.

  16. The MovieFone interview was so funny! I never knew Anne was an ‘Office’ fan, but i laughed when she said her alias used to be Phyllis Vance!

  17. OMG…Everyone should go watch all of the clips on moviefone with steve and anne. So good!

  18. Steve was also on Mike & Mike on ESPN2/ESPN Radio this morning.

Steve Carell, Actor- Carell says the Celtics’ championship makes up for the Patriots’ Super Bowl loss. He compares this to the Larry Bird era, talks about his new film, ‘Get Smart,’ discusses the 40-Year-Old Virgin, The Office and what actor he’d still like to work with. Carell

  19. Poor Steve, running around to do all these interviews must get a tad tedious and tiring.

  20. I almost died laughing from the Moviephone interview. If you only have time to watch one, definitely take a look at that.

  21. Steve Carell was hilarious on Jon Stewart, as usual. Now, The rock is on Leno. WOW! They really need to stop plugging this film. I am not complaining though, Carell is handsome.

  22. Deer Jerky, Steve’s on Rove this weekend on Sunday at 8:30, so make sure to catch that. Rove usually films in Melbourne, so I was getting excited, but this week it’s live from the Gold Coast, so hard to say if he’ll come to Melbourne at all. Still, it’s very exciting!

  23. Steve does good with these interviews. Usually when stars are off promoting their movies, they just keep repeating the same stories over and over….it’s as if they think cause we watch the other shows I guess? ha And yes, Steve fits his new role, for sure.

  24. Anne Hathaway watches both The Office and The Colbert Report? I think I’m in love…

I’m really excited to see this movie, now! Another hit for Steve!

  25. I just watched the Unscripted interview. It would be so awesome if Colbert came on as Gould! I can imagine right now. Best thing Ever!

  26. Oh man, do not watch the Daily Show interview at work! I just about spit out my coffee at the same time Steve did. Too funny!!

  27. I LOVE Steve Carell week! The man just never disappoints.

Thank you, Tanster, for compiling all of these wonderfully entertaining interviews. I especially perked up when he mentioned hoping to be able to attend the next Office Convention (yet TBD). :)

  28. Wow! Steve Carell is a busy man this week! I wonder what question he is tired of hearing

  29. Omg! #33 you weren’t kidding, my stomach is like hurting from stifling laughter. I love it when he goes on The Daily show. :)

  30. The Daily Show was a breath of fresh air! Thank God they didn’t use the bakery clip too. My my, Steve has a thing for those lady bakers…

  31. 37-the reason he is on every channel is b/c everyone knows this movie is going to be huge and they all want a piece of it.

  32. Wait, I’m confused. Who showed up at the SoHo store? It was Steve, Ann and Stephen, right? Was there a surprise guest?

  33. WOW. Steve Carell AND Stephen Colbert – I’d have given my left arm to have been at that store in SoHo today!

  34. Carell and Colbert… that is too much sexiness in one room for me. ;)

    Carell
    Colbert
    ’08

  35. I was at the SoHo Apple store last night and it was the most amazing experience ever. Steve and Stephen together! Stephen was the surprise guest– no one knew he was coming. They sang the Star Spangled Banner in harmony! I can’t believe I was there!!!

  36. OMG i wish I would have been there to see the dynamic duo, Even Stevens again. Darn it! I hope Colbert has that on his show next week or video is up somewhere. That is awesome!

  37. i just saw get smart and it was hilarious.
i didn’t think it would be, but damn, i laughed out loud and hard!

  38. i look up to him so much as a comedic actor. he does interviews with such ease too. what can’t steve carell do???

  39. I know what he can’t do…He can’t not be awesome!

The Daily Show interview was hilarious, as was the Jimmy Kimmel Live one. I can’t wait to see the podcast for the SoHo Apple Store visit…I mean come on, it’s Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert! Plus a very beautiful fan, Anne Hathaway.

  40. Oh my god! Even Stevphen! ahhhh i love them. I would have done anything to be at that store. or be you, ashley. In your own little world with steve carell is like my dream every night.

  41. I think I’ve just decided JimKim’s my favorite late-nighter. Loved this!

  42. I’m actually glad Jimmy and Steve acknowledged that he gets asked the SAME questions every interview… what a clever and funny way to promote the movie with the DVD commentary. Loved when Jimmy was cracking Steve up when they switched roles!

  43. Steve’s faux Get Smart DVD commentary on Jimmy Kimmel is one of the funniest things ever!

  44. I just got out of “Get Smart” and Steve was AMAZING!! He’s so versatile, and yet there was this perfect touch of Michael Scott in there just to top it off. A very enjoyable movie, I highly recommend it!

  45. Just saw the movie. It was AWESOME. Both action and comedy-wise. I was a little hesitant to say it earlier, but I am in love with Steve Carell. There, I said it. Now everyone who hasn’t yet, go see the movie!

  46. Just saw the movie. I haven’t laughed so much at a movie in I don’t know when. It was hilarious. Way to go, Steve!

Everyone go see it as soon as you can!

  47. Another word to the Aussies – as well as Steve being on Rove this Sunday, he’s also on Hamish and Andy (the radio show) on Monday. It’s 4pm – 6pm on the Fox!

  48. Get yourself to the theatre–Get Smart was great! Fun and funny, Steve and Anne Hathaway and the supporting cast are all perfect in their roles. We laughed and laughed.

  49. I don’t know what triggered the Star Spangled Banner either, but I’ll never forget it for the rest of my life.

  50. I love Steve so much.

I saw it last night. He is, hands down, the greatest thing about the movie. A+, Steve.

  51. Even though this is very obvious, Steve is such a great interview. I really think he can convince someone who’s not interested in seeing the movie to go. =)

  52. I always love when Steve stops by the Daily Show, his interviews are hilarious. And Jon’s comment that made them both crack up had me almost crying laughing. Solid stuff, as always. He needs to go on the Colbert Report!

  53. For those interested, Steve’s answer to “Who would you turn gay for?” was George Clooney! lol

  54. I just got back moments ago from the movie…it was HILARIOUS! This is from a 14-year-old girl perspective, but i thought it was SO funny!

  55. steve’s awesome. just in case you didn’t know that. :)

It would be my dream come true if he goes on the colbert report. i would love that more than anything.
