The Annex
OfficeTally will always remain, first and foremost, a fansite about ‘The Office.’
But your overwhelming feedback to this post shows that you like a lot of other TV, too.
So welcome to The Annex, where you can discuss other selected TV shows!
This list is bound to change — some shows may be removed, some may be added, or I may just scrap this whole thing if it becomes too much work. We’ll see how it goes. :)

I also love Modern Family. The Office, Parks and Recreation, Modern Family, and Castle are pretty much the only shows I watch. (Except for syndicated episodes of FRIENDS).
I’ve just discover Modern Family. Any fan of The Office will love this show also. VERY good and funny!
MAD MEN!!!
Modern Family is the best comedy I’ve seen since The Office. It’s also filmed in the documentary style like The Office.
Here are three shows that I highly recommend if you like The Office:
Arrested Development: if you haven’t watched this show by now, you need to get on it!
Better Off Ted: great workplace comedy, you’ve probably heard about it. zero ethics, a lot of fun
Modern Family: this show is like The Office for family sitcoms. it’s on abc and don’t be fooled by its traditional sitcom promos. it’s a mockumentary and it’s very funny.
I think you should make things for all the CSI shows.
I highly recommend the show Psych! If you love THE OFFICE you will love Psych! It’s the season premiere tonight on USA at 10/9c!!
I heartily recommend the new animated show from Mike Judge, “The Goode Family”, on ABC. The first show was way funnier than a pilot usually is. Plus, the voice of Helen Goode is none other than Nancy Carell (aka Nancy Walls), wife of Steve and portrayer of Carol Stills from The Office season 2.
You’ve got me curious about ‘Free Radio,’ tanster! I’d never heard of it before this, but I’m gonna try to stay awake long enough tonight to check out the premiere. Sounds funny!
[from tanster: you must! also, ed helms is a guest star tonight :) ]
Oh, me too, tanster. I hope the finale will be a good sendoff for the show. Thanks for all the memories, ER.
I have a feeling I’m going to bawl like crazy during this Thursday’s finale of ER.
United States of Tara is an awesome show! Diablo Cody writes it, that’s the chickadee who wrote Juno. Also where is Dexter? Arrested Development isn’t on anymore, so there’s no need to add that to The Annex, but I would love to see US of T.
From press release:
Really looking forward to the return of Free Radio!
It has Office connections: Lance Krall played Dwight’s karate teacher Ira in Season 2’s ‘The Fight,’ plus Angela Kinsey appeared on ‘Free Radio’ last season. Ed Helms is scheduled to appear this season! Lots of awkward cringeworthy goodness to look forward to. :)

In total agreement…totally loved last week’s episode…it’s like the years rolled back and the old gang never left. Also great was this week’s farewell episode to Neela, which was an affecting goodbye to one of my favorite ER characters. And while this isn’t ER’s best season (and no show that lasts 15 years is going to have its peak at the end), I thought it has, from the episodes I’ve seen, been a quietly understated, even gentle, season, and if this is the season ER is going out on, then the show will be ending on a good note.
I watched ER too Tanster and thought it was one of the best episodes of a not so great season (what can you expect, there’s only been 15 of them). It was great seeing Benton, Doug Ross and Carol Hathaway again (though not a fan of the gray/black ensemble Carol was wearing). Didn’t expect George Clooney on the show so soon (a very nice surprise). And of course seeing Noah Wyle always brings me cheer! It’s like Carter never left County General. I’m just glad they haven’t added him to the long list of killed off cast members.
Anyone watch ER last night? It was thoroughly wonderful to see all the oldtimers again! Not over the top shenanigans, just quiet ordinary stories. Susan Sarandon was also riveting.
Loved it, loved it, loved it.
i am curious if anyone else watches and LOVES “Lie to Me” on Fox?
Anyone watch the Season 2 premiere of Breaking Bad last night, entitled ‘Seven Thirty-Seven’?
Raymond Cruz’s characterization of meth distributor Tuco is terrifying.
Great start to the season!
I actually teared up watching these clips of ER and the return of Drs. Carter and Benton and Nurse Hathaway.

I haven’t watched ER in many years, but I think I will need to tune in for these final episodes …
Arrested Development is definitely needed here, my second fave to TO!
