Really loving this! The Office is still my #1, but Community is good stuff. And, i agree with others that I think it’s better than Parks and Rec…
I’ve got to say, I really like ‘Community,’ probably more than “Parks and Recreation,” although both are great. It’s clever writing and characters is spot-on. At first, I didn’t like it. But, now it has everything that also makes “The Office” and “30 Rock” great. Watch it, it needs the viewers!
oh man i can tell already that this is going to be a hit show. fantastic cast, amazing comedic timing, and EXQUISITE writing. absolutely amazing show =)
The Halloween episode was definitely the funniest of the series, which has been awesome so far. Community is pretty tight with 30 Rock now in terms of my second-favorite show (The Office is the perennial number-one).
I have had more laugh out loud moments from Community than any other show this year. For characters, I will always be devoted to The Office, but this show is hilarious!
This show just keeps getting better and better. Last night’s episode: so funny!
Read that community and parks and rec have been picked up for a full season of 22 episodes. Yes, community is my favorite new show. I have my own Thursday night order since I watch on the DVR since I’m not home to watch them live – The Office, Community, Parks and Rec then Jay.
Love all the characters on Community. So happy for them.
I’ve liked Community from the start and it’s now one of the shows I look forward to each week. Smart, quick, subtle and hilarious, much like The Office. These are the types of shows that need to stay on television! Hopefully, NBC will continue to be the network that champions critically-acclaimed sitcoms rather than fodder for the brain-dead masses.
This show gets better and better each week..I really hope NBC gives this show a chance (and personally, I’d switch it with 30 Rock as far as time slots goes) and not cancel it.
I’m shocked at how “warm” this reception is– I thought everyone would LOVE Community. Well, maybe that’s just because I LOOOVE it.
Tanster, I actually think the tempo (at least in the last few episodes) is even a bit quicker than The Office. I often have to rewind a few times to get each joke (like the whole “That’s racist, that’s gay, that’s homophobic, that’s black, that’s racist” banter in the promo for next week– brilliant!)
Would you hate me if I said I think I like Community better than The Office as of now?
It’s still behind 30 Rock. Close, though.
I noticed that too, SchrutedIt22! I thought tonight’s episode was great – maybe the best since the pilot. My favorite line, I almost didn’t even catch. “Cheers. Mash. Fawlty Towers.” So quick, and so so funny.
No one has sharper comic timing than Joel McHale, and over the past few episodes he’s done an excellent job of “softening his edges.” I was onboard the minute the pilot wrapped … but the same was true of “The Office,” and almost every diehard fan I know HATED that first episode.
Oh, and am I the only one who noticed that Abed is the butt-dialing guy from the Blackberry commercial?
Community zombies
I honestly love NBC Thursdays and I think they have a solid Thursday night line up. Community is funny, clever, entertaining, and just a great show in general. It ranks in my top 3 favorite shows! (The Office is number 1, with 30 Rock trailing behind.) I think Jeff and Britta will be my second favorite TV couple :)
It is one of my favorite new shows this season. I like it more that P&R and was about to give up P&R and replace it with Community. P&R was better in the last 2 weeks so it’s hanging on. Community is a for sure to watch for me!
It seems like it should be great… I’ve watched it each week, astounded that I am spending that much time watching a terrible show. I think I’ll keep watching it though, for whatever reason… I like it even though it is terrible…
