I missed the second half of the fourth scene first time around because I couldn’t stop laughing from the way that Dwight said “Nard Dog.”

I liked Angela’s talking head, too. Haha…she actually sort of sounded like her old self.

I think it’s annoying how they have two identical storylines going on at the same time about two people in the Office competing for the affections of a new character. But I find almost anything with Kelly hilarious and Dwight and Andy’s friendship is pretty entertaining.

    “Nard Dog”! So great.

    Also! “Yep…Boom.”

What’s happened to the Jim that overcame fear to woo the golf client or charged after Pam to give a kiss or stood up to Ryan and vowed to fight for his job?

    He left when Michael left.
Jim has been used to dealing with Michael as a boss, a guy who was his inferior to him in every way.
    Charles, not so much.
    It’s the whole alpha-male thing.

“I think if I was in Jim’s shoes, I’d be getting my resume ready and start cruising the want-ads!! I couldn’t put up with that for very long.”

True but Jim is paying a mortgage and getting married (hopefully) soon he is just having to put up with it for now. *sigh* poor Jim!

I love that Dwight is the first person to acknowledge Andy’s nickname for himself: “Nard Dog.” It was kind of adorable. Too bad the friendship probably won’t last. Also loved Angela’s talking head.

  6. 30. Koos

Poor Jim. But, I like humble Jim the best so I would like to see where this goes…

I think if I was in Jim’s shoes, I’d be getting my resume ready and start cruising the want-ads!! I couldn’t put up with that for very long.

For anyone who dislikes the Jim/Charles storyline, or is saying Jim is a wuss or whatever, all I can say is just wait. Because lets be honest here, obviously that story arch is going to end in an awesome way, with Jim doing SOMETHING, probably standing up to Charles. It’s going to be awesome, I know it. Just be patient, it’s building up.

The building maintenance man totally looks like Joe the Plumber.

Great, wince-worthy scene but ow!. Jim coming into his own seems long overdue IMHO–he has been charismatic and competent in previous seasons and now seems to be in a holding pattern where he goes -backwards-. He is more desperate to do well, but his fear of conflict and sudden onset wussy syndrome (my only explanation for inexplicable bouts of nomojo even with former office friends) seems to make him less successful than when he didn’t try. What’s happened to the Jim that overcame fear to woo the golf client or charged after Pam to give a kiss or stood up to Ryan and vowed to fight for his job?

    #24:

    No, I think it’s hilarious.

  12. 24. M.A.

“Even if you’re not leaping out from behind a daisy” LOL! Ryan made me laugh the most in this episode! Too funny

  13. 23. Laura

Anyone else getting tired of “Jim acting like an idiot/Charles acting like a douche?” I really hope Jim shows up Charles at some point…and soon. I’m all for awkward and for Jim having to deal with someone who doesn’t like him but this is just getting tiring. Jim is a competent human being or so Seasons 1-4 led me to believe.

  14. 22. epinson

    Jeeze Chucky!

  15. 21. FlonkertonChamp

And poor Jim! I think he needs to confront Charles about it, because it’s really not fair. Charles is actually singling Jim out and picking on him. Why can’t he see that Jim is great at what he does?!

  16. 20. FlonkertonChamp

“Hey, screw you!” NICE! She’s not “Fancy New Beesly” anymore… she’s “SASSY New Beesly!”

  17. 19. teampammy

bahaha! Loved that second scene. I feel bad for this fish, I think Michael is killing it.

  18. 18. Koos

Go Pam! Hey, screw you. hahaha

  19. 17. Ryans' Hobbit

I love the little brother dynamic they have given to Pam/Ryan.

    I love the Dwight/Andy bromance.

I am NOT loving the whole Jim saga – I am unspoiled so I have no idea what’s in store for Jim but in this case… the end certainly does NOT justify the means :(

You can’t mess with Jim, the people won’t stand for it!

  20. 16. Sammie

Good for Pam! And I love how Michael launched into his “Fat Albert” routine. It was like the early Office again!
