The Office Last Day In Florida quotes

Manually transcribed by tanster :)

Andy: I have terrible news. Dwight is no longer with us.

Andy: He had a massive stroke of good fortune and he is now in a better place.

Dwight: Don’t touch my treasure.

Oscar: Oh god, I’m Wallace Shawn in The Princess Bride!

Dwight: A dart? Are you kidding me?

Dwight: Well, Mr. Ball, it’s been a pleasure. Now give my regards to hell!

Nellie: Well swung, my VIP V.P.!

Nellie: We are a regular Archibald and his man George.

Nellie: I just made you look like the goat of Dover.

Dwight: You think you’re excited? You should feel my nipples.

Jim: What’s the word? It’s not bittersweet. It’s, uh… sweet.

Andy: Would if I could, and I can, so I will.

Toby: This is the only place I interact with people. Can’t you sell at your church or barbershop? Or chess club?

Darryl: Not a thin man, mind you. Relatively thin.

Erin: Hey, Lucy, I’m home! Babaloo!

Erin: Really good cheese samples. I had, like, a hundred.

Erin: Honestly, I don’t know how she survived without me.

Irene: When can I introduce you to my grandson? He’s a wonderful swimmer. Shallow end, deep end, he does it all.

Irene: What kind of tea is this?
Erin: Oh, I boiled some Gatorade.

Nellie: In England, they put the holes a little bit to the right, you see.

Kevin: Oh, the springtime thinks that it’s the best, and fall time thinks that it’s the best, cold time has kind of a strut, and Valentine’s thinks that it’s the best. But gather around, peeps I’ll tell you the truth, nothing beats the cookie season, that’s the truth!

Darryl: It’s not a scratch and sniff, Kev.

Darryl: You’re new to the game. You learned a lesson today.

Kevin: I actually do want you to fight over me. I want to be wined and dined and sixty-nined. Metaphorically sixty-nined. Perverts. No offense, Oscar.

Jim: Well, he’s Florida’s problem now.

Robert: The Sabre store would work if we adopted the carnival model of leaving town once everyone’s wise to us.

Gabe: I’m not just saying this. That was the best thing I’ve ever seen.

Dwight: What? Your stylist ran out of messy spray?

Packer: Hey, Halpert, anyone ever tell you you look like Wooly Willie?

Dwight: You look like the world’s tallest hobbit.

Irene: You don’t “make a video chat,” you “video chat.”

Pam: Did you actually try your hardest?
Jim: Yes. My pretty hardest.

Jim: It’s like he’s been bitten by a radioactive Dwight or something.

Jim: Stanley’s very upset that we’re leaving Florida, but he would back me up.

Darryl : You can’t trust him to understand the wants and needs of the thick man.

Darryl: Baby, if you’re watching this, you’re not chubby, you’re beautiful. Daddy’s just got to sell some cookies.

Meredith: Make them kiss me!

Andy: I want you looking totally puertorriqueña when I see you.

Kevin: Toby has that indescribable quality that makes a star.

Dwight: I keep throwing you away, you keep flying back. You’re like an Amish return stick.

Dwight: It’s going to take you a long time to get through security with all those beauty products.

Packer: Put me in, babe. I’ve got the info down backwards, forwards, and doggy-style. I’m your man.

Ryan: Thought you checked my Tumblr.
Andy: You never update it.
Ryan: Well, I updated it.

Dwight: I’m going to just have to run right through you.

Jim: Are you really revving up? You know that doesn’t work.

Dwight: Jackie Chan!

Darryl : Kevin can’t come to the phone right now, because he’s busy… with us.

Kevin: Who do I ride to the kitchen like a pony?

Toby: Don’t make me be your pony, Kevin.

Toby: I refuse to be another man’s horsey.

Dwight: Thunderslam!

Nellie: Fire the employee, yes. But not the man.

Packer: I can’t get fired. I’m an institution.

Andy: I’m going to Florida to get Erin.

Andy: Forgot to turn off my email.

Andy: “You’re about to close four tabs. Are you sure you want to continue?” Yes. I am sure. Ah… slow computer!

  1. The VP will go to someone unexpected, much like the show has done to us for years. Maybe Ryan? Then he and Erin COULD stay in Florida realistically. Hopefully Dwight doesn’t get in trouble and it would be nice to see Jim and Dwight try to frame him..the last 6 or 7 episodes were much better than the slow start the show got off to..

  2. Sounds good, except for Robert California being back. Hopefully they keep him to a minimum. Maybe they will look at the reaction the past few episodes have gotten and take the hint that they don’t need him. The Jim/Dwight Dynamic has been awesome recently. The show should focus on that.

  3. I always love the Dwight/Jim frienemy episodes! This should be good, especially since the entire storyline so far has been ace.

  4. Yay…Robert is back! I have loved the last couple shows, but I missed RC’s weirdness. My favorite episodes were the four before the Tallahassee arc, but I have loved them all since December.

  5. I’d really hate to see Andy being sad after learning Erin is not coming back to Scranton anymore; if that happens, I’m gonna kill myself (in a joke, really).

  6. just saw a promo for this episode
looks hilarious!! lots of physical comedy, and Jim/Dwight moments, always a sure sign of a win (:

  7. Phenomenal end to a phenomenal story arc. I loved Jim and Dwight throughout the entire Tallahassee storyline, and they wrapped it up perfectly. Also, the ending was really unexpected. Didn’t think we’d see Andy going down to Florida. I figured Erin would come back on her own after being fired by the old lady or something like that.

  8. Great episode. Dwight and Jim fighting was awesome. Also for some reason on Global they cut the last 30 seconds of the episode, Jim and Pam make out for the first time in over a year and Andy decides to go to Florida to get Erin.

  9. This was a good episode. The cookie story made me laugh because at work I had two people arguing over which of them I would buy cookies from! I’m glad they limited Robert and I laughed quite a bit. I LOVED the ending with Andy trying to close his computer. LOL

  10. I can get why Ryan didn’t want to tell Andy that Erin was staying in Florida, but seriously, ouch.

    Lots of hilarity tonight!

  11. Great. Ending was great too. I just wonder what will happen when Pam sees Kathy again.

  12. Enjoyed it, good riddance Packer… Nellie is an idiot. RC makes an excellent business decision. I enjoy how he confides in Jim, hopefully to save Dwight.

  13. @Nick

Well we don’t see Cathy leave with Dwight, Jim, and Stanley. And we don’t see her enter the Scranton office either.

  14. @Nick I would love to see Pam confront Cathy and sort of defend her Jim from Cathy.

  15. I don’t think it was the best season and I think it was one of the weaker episodes of this arc, but it was good.

  16. For anyone who has been watching The Office headlines, it’s no surprise that Dwight’s VP promotion fell through. After all, he has to somehow return for the Schrute Farms spin-off. I’m also guessing that today’s episode is the last we see of Packer so that Koechner can devote more time to his new show. I can’t help but wonder if this is also the last we’ve seen of Kathy? Will the news of the attempted tryst reach the Scranton office and result in an explosive Pam?

In the execution, I was hoping for more than just a bit of physical slapstick to keep Dwight from his presentation. On the other side, after weeks without any decent Jam interactions, it was nice to see that brief reunion at the end. I have lost interest in the Erin/Andy plot line. To me, it feels like a ham-fisted attempt at recreating the Jam magic from the beginning of the series.

  17. @MuckMallard There was a deleted scene from After Hours where Pam called Jim’s room while Cathy was there, Jim informed her of the situation and she wasn’t mad.

  18. When Jim and Pam kissed…. made my LIFE. Hallelujah.

  19. Excellent episode!!!!! I love the Jim/Dwight fighting sequence. And the Darryl/Toby/Kevin scenes were funny, too. But it’s also sad to see Andy being worried about Erin not returning to Scranton. I hope he gets her back next episode.

  20. A very good Jim episode. Both with Pam and Dwight. And wow finally some action between Jim and Pam. Coulda gone for a few more seconds of that :) Jenna looked very good in that last scene (and I’m a man who loves his Jenna!) Could do with less Erin. Dumping the lady’s pills randomly? Also sorry to see Packer go.

  21. Great episode! What is the actress name of the old lady Erin moves in with? I can’t think of it but I remember her from somewhere!!

  22. Can someone tell me what happened in the tag? It was cut off for me just as Jim and Pam were kissing.

  23. I really enjoyed this episode. I thought the Andy/Erin storyline was cute and I’m so happy that Andy is going to go get his girl. Also, I was really glad for a storyline that involved Toby. I just really love that character. I’m a little sad though that this episode might mark the end of Packer ever being on the show again.

  24. the jim & pam kiss at the end made me so. so. happy!

and @ julie (#29), the actress is georgia engel. she was a regular on “the mary tyler moore show”. more recently, she was on “everybody loves raymond” in the last seasons, and she also played vera the dress shop owner in “the sweetest thing”

  25. The old lady was on Mary Tyler Moore, character named Georgette. I think she’s a riot, and love her scenes with Erin. It’s nice to see Erin’s role go in different directions these last few episodes (hipster, boiler of Gatorade). I think she is really delivering and the role seems less one-dimensional. Also loved the physical comedy with Jim and Dwight in the hall, especially when the potted plant was involved.

  26. I really enjoyed all three storylines in this episode. However, I don’t really understand why Robert California would fire Packer and not Nellie, but hey ho…

Perhaps I am in a minority here, but I like the Andy/Erin dynamic and am very much looking forward to next week’s episode. Go get your girl, Nard Dog!

  27. Worst of the great Florida arc. Great fight scenes with Jim and Dwight but not much else. A poisonous dart trap? Really? Dwight would actually kill a co-worker? Come on now.

  28. Good episode! It was nice of Jim to save Dwight’s job even though it got pretty physical! lol I’m so glad Jim is finally home and I loved the Big Jam Kiss!

  29. Andy and Erin? Still uninteresting. She can’t sort pills or make tea? How is she a love interest? It’s like Andy is chasing after another high school student.

  30. Haha. I had a bunch of laughs in this episode. I especially loved the Toby/Darryl/Kevin story. Kevin was just sooo hilarious. I love his character and seeing him actually more involved in a plot, albeit, a sub-plot just made the episode great.
Loved the Dwight/Jim story as well, but Kevin just made it a season favorite for me.

  31. Wow, all Pam said to Andy was that it is easy to replace a receptionist. What a great friend!

Can’t wait to watch next week’s episode instead. It is about time for Andy to go get the girl.

  32. 1. I hope this is not the end of Cathy & Packer. Hate me all you want but I’ve been a huge fan of Cathy! I want to see how she interacts with Pam now. As for Packer, this might be weird but I’ve never liked him in TO before but ever since he returned I loved all his lines so much! He was actually used right!

    2. I’m a huge supporter of Andy & Erin but if they don’t get together THIS time then I’m officially giving up. This tug-o-war has been going for way too long. I have a feeling the next season might be the end of TO though if they do become an item.

  33. LOL’ed at Stanley’s “Don’t talk to me”. Gonna miss Florida Stanley!

  34. Another highly enjoyable episode in the Florida arc.

What do people think was in the present that Jim gave Dwight at the beginning?

And no one should worry about Todd Packer’s future. Like the cockroaches after a nuclear war, Packer is a survivor.

  35. What are they doing to Erin? She was the cute, lovable airhead and that worked fine but this episode pushed “airhead” into “idiot”. Boiling Gatorade? The sorting pills fiasco?

  36. In tonight’s episode, Toby says this is Sasha’s first year selling. However, I remember a deleted scene where Toby gets Dwight to buy cookies from Sasha. As a scout parent, I can relate to the competition that sometimes ensues in an office when it is time for the annual sale.

  37. This was the weakest of the Florida arc. Jim and Dwight were great, but everything else with this one fell flat. If the writers are so set on Andy and Erin, I hope he brings her home next week and we move on from them and their “love story”. It bores me to pieces and there are so many other parts of this show that are better.
The JAM kiss was the highlight for me!

  38. I really liked this one – both the A and B storylines. Jim and Dwight are just a great team, whether they’re hating each other or helping each other. And I do hope Packer comes back – I think it would be great to have Packer involved in Robert California’s exit in some way. He is “an institution” after all.
29/Julie – she was Georgette on the Mary Tyler Moore Show and she was also on Coach for a long time. She’s amazing! Loved her showing Erin how to use video chat!

  39. The best part was that Kevin kissed Meredith for cookies. The look on his face after was so funny.

  40. Ryan left to go back to his mom after Dwight and Jim’s coaching.

I really liked this episode, but where did Toby’s glasses come from?

  41. @Lori M

Because he gave up on the presentation last episode, he was seen getting into a airport shuttle van I believe.

  42. I just want more Erin because she is absolutely hilarious. So if that takes more back-and-forth with Andy then so be it. (Of course I also want Andy to end up being with Erin.) Otherwise, I hope the writers find other major arcs with Erin.

Only Dwight and Erin make me laugh this season. (Alright, Kevin and Kelly too.)

  43. Some really really good lines in the one. Liked it a lot. Good to see Toby again, and Darryl is getting better all the time ( I really did not like him when he was trying for manager). Still not keen on Andy as manager, too much screen time, he is fine, but in little doses.

  44. I can’t believe Andy is so dense that he didn’t realize “I have terrible news. Dwight is no longer with us.” means Dwight is dead, not Dwight is no longer working in Scranton. I can see Michael Scott saying it that way, but not the “Nard Dog.”

  45. That better not be the end of Cathy and Packer. They are two of my favorites.

  46. The “poison dart” cold opening gets my vote as the worst cold opening in the show’s history. On what level was that deemed worthy? Oh, ha-ha, Creed almost took it in his head? Wow, that was awful.

  47. I liked the episode. Not as awesome as the last few episodes, but still good. I’m so glad they’re starting to use the cast more

    What’s with Einstein though?

  48. Certainly the weak link of the Florida episodes, probably the worst since Gettysburg, although the cookies and Andy/Erin plots were well-done enough that I still thought this was a good episode. 7/10.

  49. @55, Yeah, when Andy made it sound like Dwight was dead, it reminded me of the Fun Run episode, when Michael accidentally implied Meredith was dead.

But overall, solid episode. I was expecting more from RC though, in terms of zaniness.

  50. I thought this was a pretty funny episode and managed to keep things moving right through the main plots and subplots. Jim trying to save Dwight was well done, was nice to see Pam do some extra prompting there too. I even liked Packer for the first time in a while.

I liked Andy’s reaction to the news. I’m definitely with those who want see Andy & Erin finally get together, after watching this going since S5 I would almost give up TO if they don’t (Erin is a very funny character but I wish some writers wouldn’t make her so dumb). Yes, I guess it’s hard writing interesting couples after the get-together – Jim and Pam haven’t exactly been compelling as a couple since those early seasons – but it allows the characters to grow and move on to new plots and dynamics. Please, no more pregnancy stories though!

Looking forward to everyone back together, and hopefully less characters again (Kathy???).

  51. Even though I thought this episode was too “bouncy” sometimes (as in too many plots), I overall would say it was a good episode. Lots of awkward but nonetheless original laughs. I liked the Scranton cookies subplot because the writers did a great job on it. Ellie Kemper as Erin also had a few good lines.

The Dwight and Jim one fell rather flat to me because I found the fight unnecessary. But everything else was very good.

  52. I admit I am an Office apologist but I thought this was a great arc and a very good episode where I could relate to both the FL and Scranton stories. The Jim/Dwight roughhousing may have been a little ott but I did think it was funny and really sweet how it played out.

I think TO writers have done a good job of creating characters that are internally consistent but not too 1 dimensional. For example, Jim taking a week off in the name of jury duty but then feels guilty about it when he finds out it caused everyone else more work. I think that, along with Community, it is still one of the best comedies on network tv.

  53. Oh Thanks guys. I had completely forgotten about Ryan leaving the presentation the episode before. Thanks.

  54. First off, the cold open was a regurgitated version of Michael breaking the news that he hit Meredith with his car in “Fun Run”, and was a bit of a downer for me. Secondly, why are the writers dumbing down Erin so much? She used to be adorably clueless, now she’s just irritating. Apart from that, I loved the Jim/Dwight dynamic, Stanley being upset about leaving Florida, and the Darryl/Toby interactions!

  55. Carrie and Mindy write great moments for Erin without dumbing her down. However, Erin has never been irritating. She ranges from adorably clueless to heart-wrenchingly kind.

  56. What’s RC mean by “Sabre store would work if we adopted the carnival model of leaving town once everyone’s wise to us”? I don’t get the meaning behind that sentence, can someone explain it to me?
