Even though they've been friends, they just seem a bit too comfortable now. Where are the awkward moments everyone has when they start dating? If you'll notice, when Oscar was going over Michael's expenses, they were all ridiculous things that Michael had bought...like the Muppet Babies DVDs. I think at the beginning when Jan said "It costs what it costs." she was saying that because she was paying for it. I think Michael is that clueless as to running up his own debt and was just blaming it on Jan. I think this has been coming for awhile.
