‘The Office’ party ideas

Given there may be a few viewing parties hosted this Thursday, I thought this email that I received tonight came at the perfect time! :)

The Office Party Ideas

From Tallyhead Rebecca:

This past Saturday, I threw an Office-themed party at my house, wherein we watched a few episodes and played The Office drinking game.

Everyone had to come dressed as a character, and a Dwight Schrute bobblehead went out to the person with the best costume (which turned out to by my boyfriend, dressed as Cousin Mose). We also had a “That’s What She Said!” contest, wherein a Schrute Buck was awarded every time somebody was able to successfully say “That’s what she said!” to any suggestive remark made during the night.

As for food, we had “Big Tuna” sandwiches, C-shaped bagels, Jello salad, and Mexican lemonade. At the end of night, everyone got to take home a “Nifty Gifty” bag, which were better than the ones that Michael gave out in The Merger.

I absolutely love the Nifty Gifty bags! So cute!

  1. Awesome Blossom, EXTRA AWESOME, Rebecca! 1 zillion Schrute bucks and Stanley nickels for this awesome party (and for sharing)!

  2. That is so awesome! I’m now thinking about having an Office Themed party. And the food was so clever! I think it’s because I’m hungry right now. But great idea!

  3. Twice a year for the past three years my family has Office-themed parties: “ADMOP”, the Annual Dunder Mifflin Office Party in the fall, and “SOMETHING”, the Spring Office Marathon Event To Honor Insane Nonsensical Goofballs.
We go all out with swag bags and our own diabolical Office trivia games. Schrute bucks are awarded, etc. It’s a big deal!
Glad to see we’re not the only crazy ones!

  4. Awesome, looks like you guys had a great party! Wish I had more “Office” friends so I could host a party like this.

  5. I wish more of my friends were fans of The Office, I’ve been wanting to have a party like this!

  6. It looks fun! We have had three Office parties at our house, with a lot of the similar stuff. The microwave notice was awesome! I am going to have to remember that for next year!

  7. This is awesome! How can I get invited next year? I’ll bring a snack. Did someone say ‘Baby back ribs’??

  8. Thanks for all the lovely comments, guys! I think the best part about Office parties is that they basically take little planning. All you have to do is pop in some DVD’s and take a few notes from the Party Planning Committee. At least that’s what I did.

And Sarakaya Comezin, bring over a pony sandwich and you’re in!

  9. I love all of the food, and the nifty giftys! I threw an Office party just like this one (including office-supply filled jell-o) for the first episode after the writer’s strike, and they are just too fun :)
