Feb. 24: OfficeTally chat with Mindy Kaling
Mindy Kaling: Chillisbannedme is an amazing chat room moniker
Denise (ddker): we call her CBM for short
ChillisBannedMe: THANK you!!!! hahahaha that seriously just made my night.
Mindy Kaling: I keep wanting to call that joke back. Like Jim says to Pam “Feel like Chilis tonight?” and Pam nods sadly and says “Can’t. Banned for life.”
Mindy Kaling: If we ever do Dundies again (I hope, I hope) maybe it can be a plot point.
kalsop: What’s happening with Kelly and Ryan? I’ve forgotten where Ryan disappeared too…?
Mindy Kaling: Thailand!
Mindy Kaling: We’re just writing his return, and it is so, so, so funny, I think
Amee: Kelly seems just fine after Ryan left… Why isn’t she reacting as strongly as she did the first time?
Mindy Kaling: Maybe she is having this meltdown but camera doesn’t see it?
Mindy Kaling: Or they’ve broken up so many times, she just assumes they’ll get back together
Mindy Kaling: Soon though, we’ll see she has a hot new crush
Mindy Kaling: You guys know Idris Elba is guest starring this spring?
Mindy Kaling: Anyway, so yes, Idris Elba causes a stir among some of the office ladies
limonada: Since you are one of the two women on the writing staff (woot! woot!) do you have a lot of input on Pam?
Mindy Kaling: It’s funny you should mention that
Mindy Kaling: Today we are working on BJ’s next script, which has a great Pam scene that is kind of serious and nuanced.
Mindy Kaling: [Jim] is more serious. He has some really really funny stuff with Idris though this spring
ruby: Mindy, any chance we’ll see Jan Levinson in the remaining episodes of the season? She was such a hot mess!
Mindy Kaling: Jan is SUCH a hot mess. perfect phrasing.
Mindy Kaling: I’m not sure if we’ll see her. I should know, but I don’t. I’m a terrible producer.
Mindy Kaling: And Amy’s coming back!
Mindy Kaling: She’s the best. I loved when she worked back in the annex.
Mindy Kaling: And Steve just adores her.
dcs120: How many episodes will she be doing? Or can you not say?
Mindy Kaling: definitely one this season!
sorano916: Any spoilers or teases that you can give us for the rest of the season?
Mindy Kaling: If you liked the Pam-Michael dynamic of LC1 and 2, you are gonna be happy with the spring’s episodes
Mindy Kaling: Jenna has some GREAT comedy stuff. She is on fire.
Mindy Kaling: And the return of Ryan is spectacular and strange as well.
Feb. 23: KorbiTV
Think you could give us an additional hint on who the other character is that’s leaving? At least, since you say “pretty major” and not “major,” it’s not Jim, Pam or Dwight, is it? — Ellen
Did I say “pretty major”? Hmm. I think by “pretty major” I might’ve meant “major”… And that’s all I will say on the subject. Ever. Er, until it airs.

Feb. 20: KorbiTV
… remember when Dwight Schrute abandoned DM to go work at Staples? What’s coming up will be like that. Except way bigger. I’m hearing Michael might even have a Jerry Maguire moment on his way out, and one loyal (and pretty major) employee may follow him through the door …

Feb. 11: Ask Ausiello
Question: The Office scoop? — Gerald
Ausiello: The titles of two upcoming episodes have piqued my curiosity. One is called “Two Weeks Notice,” and the other is called “The New Boss.” My guess? Either Michael is faux bolting Dunder Miff or those titles herald the arrival of Wire star Idris Elba as the new big shot in corporate.

Tony in Peoria, Ill.: I have to assume with the Jam wedding in the future, Roy may make another appearance on The Office. Am I right?
David Denman (Roy) is gunning for it saying his storyline was “left open-ended.” “I’m sure there will be some point where Roy will show up at a wedding or something and cause some chaos,” he tells me. For the sake of PB&J, I sure hope he doesn’t.Taylor in Chandler, Ariz.: Is Jan ever coming back to The Office again?
According to Melora Hardin herself, yes. She just told me that Jan will definitely be back soon, and Melora is heading back to the set early next week to start filming. “I don’t know what they’re going to do with Jan or what the big plans are, but they’ve got some fun ideas.” As long as she keeps her waxy paws off of Holly Flax’s man, I’m all good with that.
Feb. 9: Dunder Mifflin Infinity
Some new Valentine’s Day items for the Dunder Mifflin Infinity virtual desk were taken from the set of “Blood Drive.”
You guys need to go check it out and report back what the items are! :)
Feb. 5: G4tv.com’s Attack of the show
Attack of the Show interviewed Brian Baumgartner. Here is a snippet of the interview:
Q. When is your character getting a love interest?
Brian: Soon.Q. Has any of it been shot?
Brian: I can’t specifically say, but tune in around Valentine’s Day.Q. Can you hint that she’s an actual girl or is this like an online thing where you’re chatting with a bot …
Brian: This is a real person who does show up.
Feb. 4: The Futon Critic
… NBC has also confirmed new episodes of “The Office” will bookend the April 9 launch of the Amy Poehler-led “Parks & Recreations” at 8:00/7:00c and 9:00/8:00c.
Said scheduling means that “The Office” will wrap its 29-episode season on May 14 with just one installment, instead of back-to-back episodes as previously announced.

Feb. 4: My inside source
What my inside source says about tomorrow’s episode (‘Lecture Circuit’):
Someone in the office is hiding their bout with juvenile delinquency.
Feb. 3: Ausiello Files
Question: Where are you hiding your Office scoop, and can we have some? — Katie
Ausiello: In my office, of course, and yes, also of course. We caught up with occasional Office director Ken Kwapis at Monday’s premiere of She’s Just Not That Into You and he told us that he helmed “a two-part special episode that will air this Thursday and next Thursday the 12th, titled ‘Lecture Circuit.’ And come April,” he added, “I will be directing the 100th episode of the series.” In that case, maybe he could tell us a little bit about what happens in it? “A lot of romantic foibles including with Jim and Pam,” he said. “But in the next few episodes, everybody will have an emotional pratfall. I have not seen a script for the 100th yet, but I am sure they will outdo themselves.”Question: The Office seems like the equivalent of Fort Knox these days. Are there any JAM spoilers? — Meaghan
Ausiello: Sorta. Although Jenna Fischer swears (up and down) that she doesn’t know for sure if Jim and Pam will tie the knot in the season finale, she concedes, “We have 11 more episodes to shoot before the end of the season, so it is very possible.” That said, she hopes they don’t marry this season. “I hope it’s next season,” she confirms, because “I would like to see them address this engagement more. I feel like it happened so quickly at the end of a random episode, and then we don’t talk about it that much. I don’t want it to become another Pam/Roy scenario, where she is engaged for seven years. We need to make some forward motion.” Besides, she concludes, “I think she and Jim really are soul mates and meant to be together.”Question: What can you tell me about Jim and Pam’s wedding? — Kim
Ausiello: For real? Nothing. So far as anyone knows — or is saying — it hasn’t yet been conceived. For unreal, however, I can give you this: Jenna Fischer, like any TV bride-to-be, has a few ideas about what should go down. “I really want Jim and Pam to get married at Schrute farms,” she says. “And I also want there to be something about the wedding that you don’t see on camera. Maybe you just hear it, or there is a photo at the end, or someone recounts it. But I want Jim and Pam to have a private moment at some point. Because they are a part of the documentary all the time, I think it would be nice for them to have some little thing that is just theirs. That would make all the romantics in our fan base happy.”Question: Any word on what will be up with Ryan when he returns to The Office? — Melanie
Ausiello: Let’s just say he’ll be a changed man and leave it at that.
Feb. 3: Jenna Fischer’s MySpace page
I just found out that Ken [Kwapis] has signed on to direct our Season Finale – which also happens to be our 100th episode!
Feb. 2, 2009: Watch With Kristin
Mel in Columbia, Mo.: I’m so glad they started the Super Bowl ep of The Office with a heavy dose of Dwight. He is awesome. Any scoop on what’s to come with our fave lovelorn beet farmer?
I hear The Office is now casting for Corwin, a friend of Dwight’s who is “kind of weird.” He’ll work with Michael and Dwight and deliver a few lines in a gruff, serious manner. We can only hope this means another trip to Schrute Farms!

Good episode..definitely not my favorite finale, it should have been supersized..or an hour. And where was my girl Kelly at??! Thought we might see some Kelly/Andy love as a surprise or something crazy like that!
Erin saying BOOYAH got andy a little blood rush, don’t ya think?! HA!
Jenna and John (and Steve of course!) are such phenomenal actors…totally deserving of every award! I mean, the whole show should be nominated & winning for everything!!
JAMbino is an awesome name! Love it!
Oh yeah, and I think Jambino should be the baby’s nickname!
Several of us were talking in the chatroom about tonight’s episode, and we all think it would be a great idea to have a predictions page for season six! What do ya say, Tanster? Predictions on whether the Jam baby will be a boy or girl… etc. :-)
I think it would be a hit! Pretty please? ;-)
Totally called Brian Stack!
omg!!! did you guys see what just happened???
Could the pregnancy and the ‘twist with repercussions well into next season’ be that Michael and Holly go off together during the picnic and make a baby?
I am going to guess that the relationship that does not progress is Jim and Pam’s.
Don’t get me wrong – I love them together. I just thing that all of the spoilers that have been released – the pregnancy spoiler and then Pam going to the hospital and all of the stuff about the wedding – are meant to make us think that they are going to get married or Pam’s going to be pregnant (or both). I think they are trying to lead us off the trail.
My guess is the pregnant one is Holly. I think that’s why she and her boyfriend are shopping for a house.
OMG you guys, watch this promo!!
Link
Maybe the big twist is that the scranton branch shuts down and moves somewhere else. I dunno, but that’s what I got outta that promo, all the scranton workers seem super hypo + Jim and Dwight are getting in the same car!! What do ya think?
I would think that Todd Packer is the not-seen-since-Season-2 character coming back; for good reason as he presumably still works for Dunder Mifflin in some capacity.
If Pam is indeed the character that is pregnant I’m going to be pretty disappointed as that’s not what her character needs attm after her recent career change. Angela would be a whole lot funnier to see. Obviously it would be Dwight’s baby as she and Andy never got “there.”
1647. Garbage: Do all of your predictions involve Katy having Jim’s kid? This is like the third time you’ve predicted that.
Tanster, didn’t you tell us that you saw every scene filmed in the finale except ONE? Do you know what happened during that scene? Just askin. Not that I can pry it out of you. Cookie, Tanster. Cookie… :-)
person we haven’t seen since season 2
stacy.
(poor kevin…how’s he gonna handle lynn AND stacy)
Just because one relationship doesn’t progress, it doesn’t mean it will regress, either, right? Surely you can tell us that much, Tanster??? I’m getting sooooo anxious!
I am just about ready to explode, holding all this information in. :)
Maybe Jim and Pam will have a huge fight and break up. How awesome would that be? Ooh what if Katy comes back and has a kid that turns out to be Jim’s and he has to pay child support now? Now that would be a great twist.
I think the surprise is that when Pam is rushed to the hospital for her ankle, they find out she’s pregnant when they run a blood test or something.
@ 1642: Karen was pregnant in the episode, “Lecture Circuit”, so there’s a possibility that she could be on maternity leave. I can’t wait for tonight’s season finale and to see what the big twist is at the end!
I’m upset it’s only a half hour episode!
I’m guessing that the relationship that does not progress will be JAM’s. Not to say that they’ll regress or have some sort of negativity, they’re just in a stable place right now.
