That place is the Fort Knox of spoilerdom lately. (Well played, Greg Daniels!) So I can only offer this teensy casting crumb: The Office is looking for a 45- to 65-year-old female character named Rose who is described as “a very plain, boring, corporate female.” Looks like Toby has met his match! (That’s what Michael said.)

SURPLUS SPENDING AT THE OFFICE — Oscar (Oscar Nunez) informs Michael (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell) that the office must spend a $4300 surplus or lose it in next year’s budget. When Michael opens up the floor for suggestions, factions break out and officemates square off against one another in order to get what they want. Meanwhile, Dwight (Rainn Wilson) takes Angela (Angela Kinsey) and Andy (Ed Helms) to Schrute Farms to work on their wedding plans. John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Mindy Kaling, Phyllis Smith, Creed Bratton and Paul Lieberstein also star.

Andy in Merced, Calif.: Is Angela going to get pregnant with Dwight’s baby? How perfect would that be since we all know she’s not sleeping with Andy?
I just asked Angela Kinsey (Angela) the exact same thing, and guess what? That little tramp wouldn’t give a direct answer! She said coyly: “Wouldn’t it be funny if all of a sudden I had to be pregnant since I was just pregnant for real? I can tell you this: Things get really complicated pretty quickly in a few episodes.” So my money is definitely on a preggo storyline for Angela! Note to Dwight, though, Ed Helms told me this of Andy’s previous anger-management issues: “They’re still very much there.” Ruh-roh. Better bring your SWAT gear to work, Mr. Schrute!Diana in Rumford, Maine: Any news on a return visit by Holly Flax?
No word about more Amy Ryan, but they are casting for someone who sounds suspiciously like, well, a more ethnic version of Holly. The part is simply named “Woman with Michael,” and they’re looking for someone “African-American, Asian, Latina; a charming, attractive, smart woman in her 30s who has one large scene with Michael and actually gets along with him really well … Actress doesn’t have to be comedic necessarily, just easy-going and appealing.” Hmmm … Could this be Michael’s rebound girl?

Ausiello: Well, at least based on what Aushole Mark tells me, there’s still some hope. “The writers slipped up,” he says. “They keep saying how the drive is so long and would take all day. The deleted scenes even say it’s a seven-hour trip. Actually, though, it’s a pretty straight shot between the two cities. I-84 gets you from Scranton to northern Mass, and then Nashua’s just across the border. To meet halfway they’d each only have to drive a little over two hours. Either Holly was making excuses, or everyone in the episode was wrong about the geography.” Maybe they just took a lot of wrong turns along the way?

Well, she must be! Because sources tell me that Michael will tell everyone at Dunder Mifflin this week that he is engaged! The, um, sad news? That was the cruelest tease ever because I am totally misleading you, just as Michael is totally misleading his coworkers. He doesn’t have the heart to tell everyone he broke up with Holly, so he lies and says a wedding is on the way. Shall we start our petition now to bring Amy Ryan back to the show? I looove her! And sadly, I’m hearing of no plans yet to bring her back this season.Raleigh in Peru, Maine: I love The Office! What’s coming down the pike?
The Office is looking for someone in their late 20s or early 30s to play a receptionist, which brings up the question: Where are Ryan and/or Pam?! Also, where exactly can a girl who’s totally married and knocked up but who likes looking at a little harmless eye candy all day (ahem, Jim Halpert) go to apply?Drew in Green Valley, Ariz: Please tell me the distance between Jim and Pam won’t go on too long or cause any problems?! I want my Jam happy!

Good episode..definitely not my favorite finale, it should have been supersized..or an hour. And where was my girl Kelly at??! Thought we might see some Kelly/Andy love as a surprise or something crazy like that!

Several of us were talking in the chatroom about tonight’s episode, and we all think it would be a great idea to have a predictions page for season six! What do ya say, Tanster? Predictions on whether the Jam baby will be a boy or girl… etc. :-)

Could the pregnancy and the ‘twist with repercussions well into next season’ be that Michael and Holly go off together during the picnic and make a baby?
I am going to guess that the relationship that does not progress is Jim and Pam’s.
Don’t get me wrong – I love them together. I just thing that all of the spoilers that have been released – the pregnancy spoiler and then Pam going to the hospital and all of the stuff about the wedding – are meant to make us think that they are going to get married or Pam’s going to be pregnant (or both). I think they are trying to lead us off the trail.
My guess is the pregnant one is Holly. I think that’s why she and her boyfriend are shopping for a house.

Maybe the big twist is that the scranton branch shuts down and moves somewhere else. I dunno, but that’s what I got outta that promo, all the scranton workers seem super hypo + Jim and Dwight are getting in the same car!! What do ya think?
I would think that Todd Packer is the not-seen-since-Season-2 character coming back; for good reason as he presumably still works for Dunder Mifflin in some capacity.
If Pam is indeed the character that is pregnant I’m going to be pretty disappointed as that’s not what her character needs attm after her recent career change. Angela would be a whole lot funnier to see. Obviously it would be Dwight’s baby as she and Andy never got “there.”

Just because one relationship doesn’t progress, it doesn’t mean it will regress, either, right? Surely you can tell us that much, Tanster??? I’m getting sooooo anxious!

Maybe Jim and Pam will have a huge fight and break up. How awesome would that be? Ooh what if Katy comes back and has a kid that turns out to be Jim’s and he has to pay child support now? Now that would be a great twist.
I think the surprise is that when Pam is rushed to the hospital for her ankle, they find out she’s pregnant when they run a blood test or something.
@ 1642: Karen was pregnant in the episode, “Lecture Circuit”, so there’s a possibility that she could be on maternity leave. I can’t wait for tonight’s season finale and to see what the big twist is at the end!
