  1. Great only 84 days left! So this means the season premiere won’t be an hour long? Also, the October 8 episode sounds special… Maybe a wedding episode?

  2. @ Craig (#1)
The last little bit says that 30 Rock premieres on October 15.

I can’t wait for the season premiere!

  3. Okay, so, only a half-hour premiere…weird, but fine. Could an hour-long episode after only three episodes mean a wedding?

  4. A hour episode that’s not the premiere has to be the Jam wedding. Bring on the ridiculously cheesy NBC promos…

  5. wooohoo that’s 5 days after my bday LOL…. I can’t wait… looking forward to that!!! =D

  6. Hooray! Let the countdown begin! Tanster, can you put one of those little countdown thingies on OfficeTally so we can keep up?

  7. Is it September yet?

The line up looks good! I see The Office has a later time slot.

Does anyone know about the new show Community? What’s it like and who’s in it?

  8. Hadley – Community is about a bunch of people from different backgrounds attending community college – it’s from the guys who did Arrested Development (so I’ve got to at least give it a try!) There’s a promo on NBC.com I think.

Alison – I had to laugh at your comment! I’m sure the promos will indeed by cheesy, but I guess I’m okay with that. Heck, we’ve been waiting five years for this particular piece of cheese, so we might as well savour it!

  9. TobyFan- Thanks for the info on Community. I was wondering the same thing as Hadley. If it’s anything like Arrested Development it should be out of this world.
September 17th seems so far away…

  10. Yes- I’m so glad that “Community” was scheduled for Thursdays! Bring on the Tina Fey/”Office”/Joel McHale comedy sammich!

  11. OK, my birthday is Oct 9. If Oct 8th’s hour-long is indeed a JAM wedding…well…all I can say is Best. Birthday. Ever. :) :)

  12. Awesome!!! “The Office” and Joel McHale in one night???? That’ll make my Thursdays much less suck-ish.

  13. Woohoo for October babies! My birthday is October 7th. A JAM wedding would be the best day after present EVER.

  14. I’m with Alison on this one. It’s about the only thing that seems logical.

My fiancee and I are currently planning a wedding. Apparently, “September is the new June”. (or something like that)

  15. YAY!!!!! This is so exciting!!!!! I’ve been waiting for some good office news!!!

  16. As cheesy as it would be, am I the only one who would love to see a special bonus episode before the wedding tracking the history of Jam? Sort of like a clip show but maybe with some new modern-day talking heads added in.

  17. Oh man — just what I was afraid of! I’ll miss it cuz I’ll be at a U2 concert. I guess it’s not *all* bad…

  18. Yay, a date to mark on my calendar! Season 6 … I can’t believe it. Time sure flies. I couldn’t be more excited!

Oh – and I’m really excited about Community, too. The Arrested Development guys + Joel McHale = awesome blossom with extra awesome.

  19. I can’t wait!!!! I am so excited. This is even earlier than last year. Even though the premiere is only a half hour I am sure it will be great. I really hope the October 8th hour long episode is a jam wedding. I can’t wait to see what this season will bring!!!!

  20. “Phyllis’ Wedding” was one of the best episodes ever, they’ll have to work hard to make the Beasley-Halpert wedding even greater, if only because there is so much anticipation surrounding it. It’s the closure of the main romantic arch of the entire series etc etc. I feel almost as if I was getting married myself.

I also really really want Holly to come back “ASAP as possible” in order to restablish that sense of undergoing love story. Angela/Dwight and Kelly/Ryan are different I think.

Can’t wait for the new season!

  21. Wonderful, another premiere/finale that’s only 30 minutes. I guess I’m just watching too much season 3, it’s almost like every other episode of that season was an hour.

  22. How great would it be if Jim and Pam dance to “Sing” by Travis at their wedding…the song they swayed to, but have yet to dance to?

  23. I personally hated Phyllis’ wedding. It is my least favorite Office episode of all time. I really did not like how much of an idiot Mike was and distracted everyone. I hope they don’t do something similar at Jim and Pam’s wedding.

  24. Once the dumb SNL WU goes away, Thursday nights are pretty solid comedy wise. I’ve heard good things about “Community” (even if it’s on NBC) and hopefully P&R kicks into funny mode. Hour-long Offices should cut into P&R time. NBC is on a short leash for me as I’m still upset about Earl getting canceled.
