November 24: TV Guide Mega Buzz
Are Andy and Erin the new Jim and Pam on The Office? — Melanie
MICKEY: “They’re very different characters than Jim and Pam,” says executive producer Greg Daniels. “Jim and Pam were reasonable and were smarter than the room. I don’t think anyone thinks that Andy or Erin is smarter than the room. They do like each other though.” Daniels says that for now, Andy and Erin will be more about the funny things that happen as they fumble toward a relationship.

Interview with Jenna Fischer:
We haven’t shot the birth yet,” Jenna tells us. “We’re on a hiatus right now but it’s coming up. Pam’s gonna give birth in February, the baby’s due in February so not too much longer now. My favorite thing was the outfit I got to wear for the Christmas episode, they got me a really cute little red jumper dress and it looked really cute with the baby bump.”

November 17: TV Guide
The Office star Oscar Nunez celebrates his 51st birthday on November 18, and what a present he’s received from NBC!! The actor, who plays Dunder Mifflin’s gay office worker Oscar Martinez, has been gifted with a hunky love interest who looks just like a younger version of Private Practice star Tim Daly. And for good reason. Tim’s handsome 25-year-old look-alike son, Sam Daly, will debut on the Dec. 10 episode of the NBC comedy as Oscar’s new younger beau. “He looks like Tim, except he has blonde hair,” reports Oscar — seemingly smitten! “He’s six foot tall and really nice.”
Oscar teases that Sam’s character, Matt, is a new worker at the paper company, and may return for more episodes, since his introduction went over so well. “It’s a very funny episode, so he might come back a couple times for an arc,” says Oscar.
And how does Oscar feel about essentially playing a male cougar? “Well, obviously Matt is younger,” he acknowledges. But it may take awhile before Oscar’s co-workers – specifically Michael (Steve Carell), get to use this information against him. “I’m not sure if people at the office are going to find out about this right away.”
November 13: NBC
Shareholder Meeting, Scott’s Tots, and Secret Santa are the final three episodes of 2009.
November 13: NBC
Summary of Dec. 3 episode, ‘Scott’s Tots’:
MICHAEL IS FORCED TO TELL THE TRUTH AFTER HE MAKES A PROMISE HE CAN’T KEEP — Michael is forced to face the music after he realizes he can’t keep a promise he made to a group of kids 10 years ago. Meanwhile, Jim (John Krasinski) starts an employee of the month program to increase employee morale. Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer, Ed Helms, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Mindy Kaling, Angela Kinsey, Phyllis Smith, Oscar Nunez, Creed Bratton, Paul Lieberstein, and Ellie Kemper also star.
November 12: NBC
Summary of Dec. 10 episode, ‘Secret Santa’:

Jenna Fischer, Ed Helms, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Mindy Kaling, Angela Kinsey, Creed Bratton, Paul Lieberstein, B.J. Novak, Ellie Kemper and Craig Robinson also star.

November 11: Ausiello Files
Michael Ausiello talks to Brian Baumgartner about the upcoming Christmas episode, Secret Santa:
Brian: Everything falls apart, as usual, for Michael trying to plan the perfect party, but I think in the end, he finds some redemption, and Kevin has a little bit of a discovery in that episode as well. I’ve been talking to the writers some about ways for him to find happiness or maybe some love, so we’re going to be looking at that the rest of the year.
Ausiello: Is there a possibility this season for a potential recurring love interest?
Brian: Yes.
November 6: Boston.com live chat with John Krasinski
Claire: whats the best office moment of this season for you so far?
John Krasinski: Ok, favorite moment this year has yet to air yet! I literally cried laughing in every take. You will see Michael as Santa … And yes some people sit on his lap! That’s all I am allowed to say!
November 5: New York Post interview with Oscar Nunez
Oscar’s love life has kind of been put on the backburner — anything on the horizon for him?
Oscar: A little bit, but you’ll have to wait and see. We did just shoot some stuff with Oscar and a special guest star — whose father is kinda famous. It was pretty cool. There’s some amazing stuff coming up in the episodes that haven’t been aired yet.
November 2: Watch with Kristin
Sherrie in Louisiana: Forget Jam. I’m digging this Erin and Andy flirtation on The Office! Will they actually hook up?
Yes! We just talked to Erin herself, Ellie Kemper, today and she told us it is so on. “There is definitely a romance developing between Erin and Andy,” she said. And even better: We won’t have to wait long. According to writer-star Mindy Kaling (Kelly): “We have the Christmas episode coming up in a few weeks and some great development between Andy and Erin happening there.” Yay for geek love!Bren via Twitter: Did you see the Ryan-Kelly makeout scene in The Office Subtle Sexuality webisodes? Amazing! Will there be more of Kelly and Ryan?
Did we see it? Only about 85 times! For those of you in the dark, check out the music video from hilarious new Kelly-Ryan-Erin-Andy pop group Subtle Sexuality. Mindy tells us Office boss Greg Daniels has been so impressed with the popularity they’re hoping to do more. There are no plans to incorporate the group into the show, but they will be incorporating more Ryan and Kelly boot knockin’. Holler! “We just have this back and forth,” Mindy says of Kelly and Ry guy B.J. Novak, “but it’s kind of like an abusive relationship in a way. It’s so much fun.”

This interview with Ellie has a bit of “kind of spoilerish” stuff about the finale – not much though.

Tanster, do you think maybe NBC’s excitement glands are all dried up after the promotion of the Delivery./Niagara? …..because we got nothing. I would have italicized that if I could….
:(
Tanster, from what you saw, did you like the finale?
[from tanster: yeah, there's some good stuff in tonight's episode. jenna/kathy did this amazing improv during one scene that i hope makes it in!]
This is the weirdest-feeling season finale ever. Where is the anticipation and buildup? Where is the promotion? Nobody anywhere is talking about The Office.
[from tanster: i know, right? not watch with kristin, not ausiello, nobody. :( ]
I have some concern about tomorrow’s episode. No spoilers, no real promotion. Does not feel like a finale. I have a guess that maybe Pam or Jim is the leak, since they don’t seem involved in story plot at moment.
[from tanster: i agree that it is totally weird that NBC hasn't been promoting the finale at all.]
I really hope Holly comes back! She took some getting used to at first, but her and Michael are just perfect…
I really, really, really, hope that “true love for Michael” indicates some Amy Ryan/Holly Flax coming back….
I know Amy isn’t scheduled to come back this season at all, but maybe the episode will end with Michael calling her or something? Cliffhanger, I think yes? :)
That promo might have given us nothing, but Tanster can…she was there! Three days! Time for some hints!
My final guess for the 3 Tanster met is Marcus York, Kathy Bates, and Zach Woods.
Andy playing a big part in the finale? What a surprise.
After further thought, I think Jenna’s comment about a return to real love for Michael may be referring to him reaching out to Holly in the finale, even if we don’t necessarily see her.
Okay, I need a Jan fix, stat. Come home Jan Levenson, and please have your head screwed on straight!
I think this will be the first finale without a Jim/Pam plot….. Are we at least going to see them with Cecelia?
I can only wish for Melora Hardin in the finale, although it could be argued she has really a love/hate with Michael. Amy Ryan would be great too. Thought last season finale was a real letdown.
It is agonizing waiting!
Yes-I agree with needing something spoilery. Please Tanster:)
Well, I think there’s at least two surprises in store for the last couple episodes, that will answer these questions:
1. Why is Michael okay with being Donna’s mistress? Probably means someone from his romantic past is back (and no it’s not Holly).
2. Who is the whistleblower, and what happens to both that person and Sabre after it’s found out.
Oh, and I came up with another guess for the a/r name game: Nancy Carell! If we’re being thorough, we might as well include Carol. Also, maybe tanster just met her on the set ’cause she was visiting Steve with the kids, and it had nothing to do with the episode!
[from tanster: the person i met does have something to do with an episode. :) ]
It seems so quiet over here in Spoilers for this season’s finale. I wonder if they’ve managed to keep any big spoilers tightly under wraps this year? Or maybe there isn’t a big “WOW” moment this year to have to keep top secret? Either way, I can’t wait for the next two episodes! Tanster, when will you be providing us with your on-set visit report? Sorry, I just can’t wait!
Since you saw the last two being filmed Tanster, can you start sharing some spoilers or more hints?
Looks like the printer arc starts with The Cover-Up. The clip that Mindy showed on The Tonight Show, featured Andy asking Kelly about customer complaints regarding faulty printers.
