The Office Set Visit 2010

The Office Set Visit 2010

B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling getting a touch-up before filming the scene in the kitchen where Michael eats Meredith’s birthday cake in ‘The Chump.’

Ryan: It’s hard to live that way man. You gotta really not care what people think about you. I don’t know how you do it, Michael, I can’t be that cold.

The Office Set Visit 2010

As always, multiple takes are filmed of every scene. And every time Michael stuck his hand in Meredith’s cake and shoved a fistful of it in his mouth, a brand new cake was used. And they were real cakes! (More on that in a few pages.)

  12. Are the actors looking to a person (for example camera operator or director) while shooting talking heads or somewhere else?

[from tanster: yes, the writer or director is usually sitting right next to the camera operator and the actor will talk directly to him or her while doing their talking head.]
