  1. I don’t even know what the game is about and I’m already figuring out how to allocate the money to buy it. Guess I will be buying used books this semester. :)

  2. I can’t help to recall those days when mama told me that too much of a good thing is bad.

  3. I literally have no idea what this game would be. Sales calls? Awkward sexual tension? Seems a bit random. And a bit like a misguided effort to cash in on the show’s success.
But hey. I’m not much of a gamer.

  4. An article on IGN.com says the game would be a “task management game like Diner Dash”. The article also goes on to say that you play as Jim Halpert and you interact with the other office characters.

  5. i can’t wait to control Roy’s action character as he dodges pepper spray and clocks Jim.

  6. As a person who plays computer games, I honestly do not understand the appeal for this item. And I played the Sims for years.

  7. i’m with mose’s awesome beard.

    wow there’s a sentence i never thought i’d say

  8. Haha you read my mind Annie! That would be cool if it was like the sims…

  9. I’ll buy it. But hey, it looks like it could be a bit… like all those games based on pixar movies. They almost all suck. I hope it isn’t like those!

  10. Here is a link I found to another site talking about the game. This site has more character images.

I think the characters look a bit, almost, scary??? any thoughts?

  11. I can’t see how this isn’t a bad idea. But I will still probably try to play it.

  12. Unless it’s a first person shooter from Dwight’s perspective with a spud gun, I’m not interested.

  13. Maybe it will feature some Office Olympics! I want to see Toby and Oscar doing a coffee race and Phyllis winning at Flonkerton!

  14. Cousin Mose– That is the funniest thing I’ve heard all morning! And I concur.

  15. Alright. I know I had some problems with this game idea before, but having looked at the site Jen posted, I am infinitely more uncomfortable about the whole concept…
Angela really really looks like Dee Snyder. That is just unacceptable.

  16. I will buy a PSP just for that!!!! There is probably going to be somthing in there about the poisoned coffee and Dwight saving people from it. :)

  17. Good grief. Just because something will sell does not make it a good idea. Can you imagine the BBC version cashing in on a video game?! I don’t know why anyone would think this is a good idea. And, Mose’s Awesome Beard (#32) – that’s hilarious about Angela looking like Dee Syder! Ha!

  18. I believe the phrase you’re looking for is “milking the cash cow dry.”

And they are. Bobbleheads of ALL the characters! Pam/Jim perfume! Lunchboxes! DUNDER MIFFLINITES SING! DUNDER MIFFLINITES SING CHRISTMAS SONGS!

    Scranton Boogie…YEAH!

And Dee Snyder was the lead singer of Twisted Sister, whose hit song was “We’re Not Going to Take It,” which come to think of it, is my approach to the video game.

  19. Dee Snyder is in the band (from the 80’s) called Twisted Sister. He’s…well, he’s got his own style! He wears tons of crazy makeup and has A LOT of blond hair. I’d show you a pic, but I don’t know how…
Anyway, it’s not a good thing that Angela looks like him, for sure! Haha.

  20. They should just make an Office expansion pak for the sims or something with an office building you can put in your town and all of the characters that you can play

  21. I’m so excited about the potential of this game
I’m hoping the game will let players prank Dwight, sell paper, flirt with Pam..
I would also want to visit Schrute Farm

  22. I can’t figure out how this is a good idea. Do they figure that because The Office has such a strong online following that we would want to play a game about it? This isn’t The Simpson’s. It just smells like overmarketing to me… And I’m not usually a negative person. As much as I celebrate the success of The Office… Hmmm. I just don’t know what to say.

  23. its not to difficult for me to understand why they would make an Office video game

I once wore my Dwight Schrute tee to a gaming trade show, and I got a bunch of compliments. allot of nerds love the office and allot of nerds play video games. put the two together and it makes sense

  24. This seems silly, but if it’s like Diner Dash, I’ll play it for days at a time, Office-related or not.

But the inclusion of Jim will make the time spent much better =)

  25. I’m not sure how I feel about this, for one thing, I LOVE anything that has to do with the office, but I’m not sure if a video game makes much sense…
