A random dog wandered onto the set, turned himself around toward the direction of the filming, and then laid down. Everybody chuckled!
- One of the scenes which didn’t make it into the final episode was #33 — “Michael and Holly are interrupted by Beth.” This is when Michael and Holly are brainstorming skit ideas. Beth is a member of Holly’s Nashua branch, and she is supposed to be exactly like one of the Scranton employees, in terms of personality and diction (I won’t say who). Hopefully the scene made it onto the DVD!
- Scene #45 “Pam gets injured, Charles insists she leaves to see doc” — Jenna did her own stunt! And I have to say, she did a great job of falling to the ground and making it look painful. I don’t even think the final episode used the best take of her fall!
- Scene #48 “Dwight stalls” — you know when Dwight kicks the volleyball into the distance, to stall for time while Jim and Pam are at the hospital? Do you notice the shack-like structure in the background? Well during the first few takes, an extra was hiding in the shack and whenever the volleyball was kicked near it, this extra would wave his arm outside the shack, and ruin the take. He did this several times in a row. Needless to say, this extra was asked to leave the set and was told not to return for the rest of the week.
- Scene #54 “Meredith serves into Dwight’s back” (see the third deleted scene) — the shooting for this was hilarious. Kate is standing not more than four feet away from Rainn, but during the first few takes, she throws the ball at Rainn’s back and misses! Rainn jokes, “C’mon! Look how big the target is!”
