My cameo in ‘Company Picnic’

Here is my cameo appearance on The Office Season 5 finale, ‘Company Picnic.’ Woo!

It’s during Michael and Holly’s ‘Slumdunder Mifflinaire’ skit, when they introduce themselves as Robert Dunder and Robert Mifflin.

By the way, I giggled like crazy last night, as I was watching “I just saw you!” comments come in from East Coast Tallyheads.

When I finally got to watch the episode three hours later, and my closeup appeared, my boyfriend turned to me and said, “You weren’t even acting; that’s how you look at me every day!” Haha!

Thanks for all the support and well wishes, everybody!

It was totally my dream come true. :)

   If tanster was wearing a hat and sunglasses then yes that must be her sitting down at the picnic table when Andy and Dwight yell at Kevin in Act 1. :)

   When I saw your close-up, I thought “Tanster’s been taking lessons from Jenna on how best to react to Michael’s tomfoolery”…well, it was more like “Dude! It’s Tanster!” and then the above…can you make a cameo at my company picnic?! haha

    Like Stefanie (posts #3 & 4), I also thought that might be you in Act 1. Oh well, there was still plenty of Tanster on screen for us OfficeTally fans to get excited about.

    Question…in the scene when “your” branch members are reacting to David Wallace’s news, you appeared to be talking. I know sometimes “extras” have to pretend to talk, but it looked like you really were speaking. If so, do you remember what you were saying? Just curious.

    [from tanster: actually, we were told to get really upset and talk to our fellow branchies. i was probably muttering something like "Oh my god, i can't believe this is happening. did you hear what he just said?! you have got to be kidding me." yadda yadda. :) ]

    #11- I did the same thing- I paused my DVR and explained who Tanster was to my husband.

    Tanster, I do not know you, and yet I “squeed” hard for you. Congrats! And how wonderfully awesome is The Office execs/writers/directors who would do that for you- and us!

    Okay, so I’ve been wondering, is the baby Dan holding a real baby? Lol, weird question I know – if it is a real baby, then what a trooper! :-)

    [from tanster: no, the babies that dan and his wife (and real-life wife) erin were carrying were baby DOLLS! it was really hilarious, because during a break in filming, dan used his baby as a pillow to take a nap on, lol]

    Haha! I’m laughing out loud at Sandy’s reaction to your shining moment. Is it weird that this is my favorite part of the episode? I mean, I’m really happy for Jim and Pam and everything, but … but … it’s tanster!! :)

    I am so happy that your dream has come true. You are truly a part of Office history, and no one deserves it more.
