Kristina meets Angela

The Office

I went to see Angela perform at I.O. West on Monday. She was so funny! She was what they call “The Armando” which means the host and there are about 10 professional improv artists on the sidelines.

She came out and said, “Let’s start with something you saw today.” Someone from the audience shouted, “Homeless people!” She shared some anecdotes about her and her encounters with homeless people, then walked off stage and some of the improv artists would come out and perform their own improvised skits, etc. Continue reading “Kristina meets Angela”

Last season, the 28-year-old from Cambridge, Massachusetts, who plays dim-witted chatterbox Kelly Kapoor on the show, became a producer as well. In this online-only extended interview from Radar’s November issue, Kaling talks about about sexual harassment, Christopher Hitchens, and NBC’s new wild-child entertainment head, Ben Silverman.

Dundie Award

The Office

Here’s an exclusive first look at the NBC Office Store’s Dundie Award!

Height: 10.5 in.
Width: 4.25 in.
Depth: 3.5 in.
Weight: 12 oz.

Aside from the default “Dundie Award” face plate, it also comes with a set of magnetized face plates: “Hottest in the Office Award,” “Bushiest Beaver Award,” “Don’t Go In There After Me Award,” “Whitest Sneakers Award,” and “Fine Work Award.”

Waiting to hear back on the price and release date, although I do know the Dundies will be sold at the Office Convention next week!

Just a few little tidbits

  • If you missed Kate Flannery’s appearance on ‘The Tonight Show’ last week, check out the video here.

Is DunMiff/sys really alive?

During the East Coast airing of ‘Launch Party,’ I received an email from Tallyhead Heather, who said, “I’m not sure if this is legit or not, but for kicks I put DunMif Sys and DwightKShrute on my AIM buddy list and DunMif Sys was on! I’ve been talking to that screen name and it’s been staying in character as Dwight’s computer.”

I passed this bit of news on to DestroyPhone, one of the OfficeTally Chat Room moderators, who then proceeded to have his own conversation with DunMifSys.

(Yes, I know that DunMifSys in the episode was spelled with two Fs. And no, when I asked NBC.com about it, they didn’t know whether this originated from someone who works on the show. Hmmm …)
