Steve Carell talks about The Office finale

Steve Carell explains to Ellen why he won’t appear in The Office finale.

From Steve’s interview with CNN:

“I figured the character would go back and visit everybody, but he wouldn’t do it on camera at this point,” he said. “I think he had grown past the idea of being in the documentary, that was my take on it. That [Michael Scott] had said goodbye to that aspect of his life, that that’s not what was important to him. I just thought, yeah he’d go back and visit, but he wouldn’t want the camera crew to be documenting it.”

Angela Kinsey joins ‘The Gabriels’ pilot

May 9 update: FOX has passed on ‘The Gabriels.’

From Deadline:

Angela Kinsey is set as the female lead opposite Rob Riggle in Fox’s single-camera comedy pilot The Gabriels… The Gabriels centers on a gleefully antisocial family learning to act normal and make friends for the sake of their kids. Kinsey… will play the mom, Gail Gabriel. A therapist by profession, Gail is the slightly more mature member of her marriage than her husband Ken (Riggles). Co-starring in the pilot is Tim Meadows as the local school principal. Earlier this season, Kinsey, along with Rachael Harris, were attached to star in another comedy project for Fox, which had a put pilot commitment. Kinsey’s deal for The Gabriels closed after the dates for the pilot could be worked around her filming The Office series finale.

Congratulations, Angela!
