November 20, 2010: tipster Murphy
- Murphy, who attended a B.J. Novak appearance at Utah State University in early November, stated that “when asked about any future possible love interests for Oscar, [B.J.] shared that Angela will start dating a state senator who will be more suited for Oscar.” I can’t confirm any part of that statement.
- However, according to a previous Ausiello Files post about Jack Coleman’s guest role, Jack “would play a government official who possesses a ‘Jon Hamm-esque wholesomeness,’ per a source. No other details were available.” So isn’t it a possibility that B.J. was referring to Jack Coleman’s character? Again, this is all unconfirmed. But a pretty interesting twist if it’s true.

Tidbits on ‘The Christening’:
“Jim and Pam need to make it very clear to Michael on this day that he’s not [Cece’s] godfather,” executive producer Paul Lieberstein tells Zap2it. “He always jokes around about it, he does his ‘Godfather’ voice, and they just — Pam says to him, ‘Please, Michael, please — I just need to hear you say the words.'”
Michael, of course, doesn’t take the news well — but that’s not what the episode is really about, Lieberstein says.
For starters, “Jim briefly loses the baby.” Oh, that can’t be good. But in addition to that, “Michael has a very cathartic experience in the church,” Lieberstein says. “He doesn’t find God — I’m not going to say that,” but something else does happen that affects him.
Any scoop on The Office? — Marie
MICKEY: On Thursday’s episode, it’s time for little Cece Halpert to be christened — well, if her parents can find her. ”Jim loses the baby,” executive producer Paul Lieberstein reveals. Meanwhile, Michael has a come-to-Jesus moment when he attends the ceremony that could be the beginning of the end of Michael Scott on The Office. But will it involve Holly — or someone else entirely?
From an interview with Amy Ryan:
TV Guide: In December, you return to The Office as Holly, the love of Michael Scott’s life.
Ryan: Toby is on jury duty, so she’s there to fill in for him, but her boyfriend is still very much in the picture.
TV Guide: That won’t keep Michael from trying…
Ryan: Yeah, he tries.
TV Guide: Is there a happily ever after?
Ryan: I hope so, but I don’t know. We’re about to do a table read for the third episode I’m in, and so far Michael’s not happy.
