Bears. Beets. Berkshire pigs?

I received this funny email from Tallyhead sexyhostile a few weeks ago:

“Just thought you might find this amusing: The Buffalo Zoo has recently remodeled its children’s petting zoo into the Delta Sonic Heritage Farm, featuring 2 Berkshire Pigs named… Jim and Dwight! And no, their names are not coincidence!

According to the zookeeper with whom I chatted, Dwight is actually the MUCH smarter of the two pigs and is mastering all of his training rapidly, while Jim mostly lies around and only exercises his brain when trying to figure out how to steal Dwight’s food.

It’s official. The Office is truly part of the zeitgeist when people at zoos are naming animals for the characters.”

Last night, sexyhostile sent an update and a few photos:

“Dwight continues to outshine Jim in his training. He can now walk through a hoop, walk to a directed corner of his pen, and comes to his trainer when called. Jim is… well, apparently Jim is not living up to his namesake well. On the upside, at least he hasn’t encased any farming implements in jello.”

Justin’s visit to The Office set

Here’s an email I received from Tallyhead Justin this past weekend:

Dear Jennie,

I recently won the Teen Voices auction to visit The Office… and this Monday, I will be visiting the set and meeting the cast and crew, a dream come true for my girlfriend and I. If it wasn’t for your fansite, I would have never known there was an auction to visit The Office. Thank you for everything you do at OfficeTally. Well, time to head to the airport to fly to LA!

Sincerely,
Justin

(By the way, the latest auction to visit The Office set ends today 1:40 pm EDT!)

Thanks, Justin. Here is Justin’s report from his visit to The Office set! Continue reading “Justin’s visit to The Office set”

Anna’s Office set visit report

From Tallyhead Anna: “I had the experience of a lifetime when I visited the set of The Office. Thanks to my amazing husband who won an auction on OfficeTally for Brian Baumgartner’s (aka Kevin Malone) charity “Hollywood Arts,” I was able to have this incredible experience. My husband knows what a HUGE fan of the show I am and took it upon himself to ‘win’ me the visit!”

Words do not express the thrill and memories I have of the visit. Everything was EXTREMELY surreal!! Continue reading “Anna’s Office set visit report”

‘The Office’ wedding, Scranton, PA

the-office-weddingNo, I’m not talking about Jim and Pam. :)

In many ways, “The Office” helped bring Kevin and Susan Stempien together. So, when time came for them to join together in holy matrimony, they decided the Scranton-based NBC sitcom should be a part of the festivities, tradition be damned.

And boy, did they make sure that every detail was just right!

And check out some of the photos that Susan sent to OfficeTally below!
(Best. Wedding favors. Ever.)

Congratulations you two! May your hearts soar forever with the eagle’s nest. :)
