‘The Office’ not in Paley Fest this year

The Paley Center for Media (formerly the Museum of Television and Radio) has announced its 2008 Paley Fest schedule, and ‘The Office’ is not in the lineup this year.

Paley Fest is a series of panel discussions with popular TV shows, where “during each evening, the audience views episodes or highlights of the featured work and has the opportunity to ask questions of the cast and creative team or the individual involved in its production.”

‘The Office’ event at last year’s Paley Fest was wildly popular. I don’t know why I assumed our beloved show would be part of this year’s lineup; I guess it was just wishful thinking.

Perhaps the best bet for this year is The Comedy World of Judd Apatow and Friends on Monday, March 17th. No panelists have been announced for this event yet, but there are plenty of Office connections to choose from — Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg (“Year One”), Jenna Fischer and Craig Robinson (“Walk Hard”), Steve Carell (“The 40-Year Old Virgin”), to name a few …

Watch tonight’s Office!

Yeah, I know tonight’s episode of ‘The Office’ is a rerun.

But … rumor has it that a new Dunder Mifflin Infinity promo launches tonight during the show. And if you’re a DMI employee, who knows who you might recognize in it!

Bid on ‘The Office’ Autographed Gift Collection

The Screen Actors Guild Foundation is auctioning off a nice autographed gift collection of Office goodies, including:

  • Cast-signed script of an Office episode
  • DVDs of Seasons 1, 2, and 3
  • Gray Dunder Mifflin hat
  • 16-month wall calendar

‘The Office’ wins Best Comedy Ensemble SAG Award

Jenna Fischer and cast accept the SAG Award for Best Comedy Ensemble.
So fantastic.

Jenna’s speech: “Hi. Thank you. They voted me to speak if we won, so — which we didn’t expect. Thank you so much. We really love working together. We love each other, we love working together and being together. And as an ensemble, a lot of the people in this group struggled for a long time as non-working actors — and by a long time I mean, like, eight, 12, 15, 20 years. So, we’re always grateful, we don’t take it for granted. Thank you so much.

But there’s another part of our ensemble, that’s our crew, and we want to dedicate this to them tonight. We can’t wait to go back to work with them, so, thank you so much.”
