The Office has been nominated for four awards in the inaugural Comedy Awards, presented by Comedy Central and MTV:

• Comedy Series: The Office
• Comedy Actor, TV: Steve Carell
• Comedy Writing, TV: The Office
• Comedy Directing TV: The Office

The Comedy Awards take place March 26, 2011, in New York City, and airs April 10, 2011, on Comedy Central.

The Office has received two NAACP Image Award nominations:

Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
Craig Robinson – “The Office” (NBC)

Writing in a Comedy Series
Daniel Chun – “The Office” -Nepotism (NBC)

The awards will be presented Friday, March 4, at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills and will air on Fox.

‘The 3rd Floor’ gets WGA nomination

Steve Carell nominated for Golden Globe

The Hollywood Foreign Press announced its Golden Globe Awards nominations this morning.

The Office’s Steve Carell is nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Comedy or Musical Performance by an Actor in a Television Series. Steve won the award in 2006 and has been nominated every year since then.

Congratulations on the nomination, Steve!

The Golden Globe Awards will be hosted by Ricky Gervais and air live Sunday, January 16, 2011 on NBC at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
