Office director gets NAACP Image Award nom

Nominations were announced Tuesday for this year’s NAACP Image Awards, and The Office’s Kenneth Whittingham received a nomination in the category of “Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series.”

Whittingham is nominated for his work directing Season 2’s ‘Michael’s Birthday.’

Office receives Screen Actors Guild noms

The Office has received two Screen Actors Guild nomininations:

  • TV Comedy, Lead Actor:
    Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Steve Carell (The Office), Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl), Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Tony Shalhoub (Monk)
  • TV Comedy, Ensemble:
    Desperate Housewives, Entourage, The Office, Ugly Betty, Weeds

Office receives 2 Golden Globe noms

The Office garnered two 2007 Golden Globes nominations this morning:

  • Best Television Series, Comedy or Musical: The Office
  • Best Performance By An Actor in a Television Series, Comedy or Musical: Steve Carell

Congratulations to Steve and the rest of the cast and crew! Here’s hoping for an acceptance speech as hilarious as last year’s. :)

The Golden Globes awards show will air January 15th on NBC.

The Office’s Greg Daniels and Kent Zbornak have been nominated for 2007 Producers Guild of America awards.

The awards will be presented on January 20th in Century City.
