Jen Celotta Schrute

My favorite cameo from The Office finale episode, hands down, was Jennifer Celotta.

Jennifer is a long-time OfficeTally favorite, having been a producer and writer during the earlier seasons of the show.

She has kidded with us over the years that her dream was to appear as a member of the Schrute family.

She finally got her wish last night! :)

Will Steve Carell appear in The Office series finale?

From TVLine:

Insiders tell TVLine that producers mounted an 11th hour effort last month to coax [Steve] Carell into making a cameo in the show’s hour-long swan song. And while no one is confirming that the final diplomatic push proved successful, no one is denying it either… a source close to the show cryptically teases, “Don’t rule anything out.”

Scranton “The Office Finale Sendoff” video, May 5

The Office Finale Sendoff Video Scranton

APRIL 11 UPDATE FROM ORGANIZERS: “In light of the events now happening on May 4, we have decided to cancel our tribute video originally scheduled for May 5.”

In honor of The Office, TV station WBRE is organizing a lip dub extravaganza to be filmed on the streets of Scranton on Sunday, May 5.

Not only do they need Office superfans to perform in front of the camera, they would also like to feature an original send-off song! (I’m talking to you, creators of Pam Pong, The Office Tribute Song, and Ryan Started The Fire.)

Organizers tell OfficeTally “The video will be posted to YouTube during the final episode, and will likely air on both the NBC and CBS affiliates here in town at about 7:55p on the finale night. It will also be covered locally on Eyewitness News.”

Steve Carell talks about The Office finale

Steve Carell explains to Ellen why he won’t appear in The Office finale.

From Steve’s interview with CNN:

“I figured the character would go back and visit everybody, but he wouldn’t do it on camera at this point,” he said. “I think he had grown past the idea of being in the documentary, that was my take on it. That [Michael Scott] had said goodbye to that aspect of his life, that that’s not what was important to him. I just thought, yeah he’d go back and visit, but he wouldn’t want the camera crew to be documenting it.”
