Free Office stuff for your iPhone

Did you receive an iPhone this holiday season?

Here’s how to deck it out, Office-style:

  • Get ‘The Office’ ringtone (click the link to save the file to your computer, and then double-click it to copy to your iTunes ringtones section)
  • Get an Office wallpaper
  • While you can purchase episodes of The Office from the iTunes store, you can also watch episodes of ‘The Office’ for free — as long as you don’t mind the lower quality and the fact that each episode is divided into clips. From your iPhone, go to http://m.nbc.com/iphone.
  • Lastly, my source says “expect to see some very cool Office iPhone game applications coming your way soon.” Stay tuned …

Fast Food, Felines & Phone Psychics

St. Louis Magazine interviews Jenna Fischer. An excerpt:

Is working on the set at The Office like many other offices in certain ways?

Like most offices, all of the guys talk about their fantasy-football teams, and the women want to strangle them. But Steve [Carell] doesn’t participate in fantasy football; he comes over and talks about shopping and Target with the girls. We really like Steve during fantasy-football time.

The Weekend Tally

  • Article: ‘The Office’ Star Jenna Fischer Tells the Naked Truth.
  • Article: Dwight Schrute: What I’ve Learned by Office writers Anthony Farrell and Charlie Grandy.
  • Article: The Onion’s A.V. Club names The Office’s ‘Dinner Party’ one of The Best Television Episodes Of 2008.
  • Article: Ricky Gervais is far from unpleasant.
  • Fan report: from Tallyhead Laundry&Betrayal — “This weekend my husband and I went to see the show ‘Dividing the Estate’ on Broadway. One of the stars of the ensemble production is Devon Abner, who played Devon on the office! (Remember, he was fired by Michael in ‘Halloween.’ Then he is in a great deleted scene from ‘Valentine’s Day,’ where Michael runs into him in NYC and Devon starts chasing him). Devon was great in the play, he had the same straight intensity that he had on The Office and was the straight man among an otherwise funny cast.”

Rewind: NPR interviews Jenna and Rainn

Yesterday, NPR re-ran interviews with The Office’s Jenna Fischer and Rainn Wilson, originally aired in June and July of this year.

Even if you’ve heard them already, they’re worth a second listen.

  • Jenna’s interview: This is one of the best interviews Jenna’s ever done! She talks with poignancy about The Office’s director Ken Kwapis and director of photography Randall Einhorn. Brought a tear to my eye. Listen now
  • Rainn’s interview: The interview is insightful, thoughtful, and in one part, so funny it actually makes Terry Gross snort. Like a full-volume snort. Awesome. Listen now
