Bid on items signed by Office cast!

The Clothes Off Our Back Foundation presents its 2007 Spring Award Show Auction, and includes the following two items:

  • A limited edition engraved iPod Nano signed by The Office’s Leslie David Barker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, and Phyllis Smith. Auction ends March 15 at 6pm PST. Bid on the Nano here.
  • A “My Starbucks” t-shirt signed by Jenna Fischer. Auction ends March 15 at 6pm PST. Bid on the t-shirt here.

Proceeds go to the emergency relief efforts in Darfur, Children’s Defense Fund, and Cure Autism Now.

The Screen Actors Guild is also holding an auction:

  • An autographed script of ‘Grief Counseling’ signed by ten members of the cast. Auction ends TODAY at 5:08pm PT. Bid on the script here.

Krasinski film cast update

Cinematical reports that the movie that John Krasinski is directing, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, will include Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard in its cast, among others:

Gibbard is actually one of a number of cute people signed on for the hideous roles. Here’s a short roll call for the curious: Sex and the City semen taster Bobby Cannavale, Krasinski’s Office co-star and daughter of Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton — Rashida Jones, SNL alum and Abe Lincoln’s clone Will Forte, Threesome’s Josh Charles, Kinsey actress Julianne Nicholson and The Anniversary Party’s lovely Denis O’Hare — just to name a few!

Greg Daniels trains other showrunners

From Variety:

The Writers Guild of America West has launched its second annual Showrunner Training Program to train two dozen writer-producers.

The six-session program launched Saturday with remarks from WGA West president Patric M. Verrone, John Wells (“ER,” “The West Wing”), Touchstone Television President Mark Pedowitz, Jeff Melvoin (“Alias”) and Phil Rosenthal (“Everybody Loves Raymond”).

The opening session, entitled “From Writer to Manager,” included a panel discussion with Tim Kring (” Heroes”), Greg Daniels (“The Office”) and Greg Garcia (“My Name Is Earl”).

The Office renewed for Season 4

From the NBC press release:

NBC has ordered early full-season pickups for the 2007-08 season for four hit series — the comedies “The Office” and “My Name Is Earl,” and dramas “Heroes” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, ” it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment.
