B.J. Novak extends The Office stay through season 8

According to Variety, actor/writer/producer B.J. Novak has extended his work on ‘The Office’ through season 8:

B.J. Novak has cut a deal with Universal Media Studios that covers his services as an actor and writer-producer on “The Office” through its seventh and eighth seasons. He’ll be upped to exec producer status (from co-exec producer) about halfway through the show’s upcoming seventh season. Pact also includes a development component for Novak to field new projects for the studio.

The Office Season 7 premieres September 23

UPDATE: NBC has confirmed that The Office Season 7 premiere was written by Danny Chun and directed by Jeffrey Blitz.

NBC announced premiere dates for its 2010 fall schedule, including the Thursday night lineup on September 23:

  • 8-8:30pm: Community
  • 8:30-9pm: 30 Rock
  • 9-9:30pm: The Office
  • 9:30-10pm: Outsourced
  • 10-11pm: The Apprentice

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt were married this weekend in Italy, according to Us Magazine:

“It was an outdoor ceremony and absolutely beautiful,” says an insider. George Clooney and Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis were in attendance.
