I had the pleasure of participating in a conference call with The Office’s Paul Lieberstein and Amy Ryan this morning, along with bunches of press people. We all got a turn in asking Paul and Amy questions, mainly about Season 5.

We are shooting part of our Halloween episode right now. OMG! I cannot wait for you to see everyone in costume this year! It’s AWESOME! I can’t decide who I like best. Our hair, makeup and wardrobe teams worked very hard on this episode. They made our costumes look great but also homemade. I wish they could design my costume for real life! I usually just end up wearing black and orange and a funny hat.
Also this week we are working with Stephen Merchant, co-creator of the British Office. He’s directing an episode this year!

Columbia Pictures is getting serious about scaring up a new installment of its blockbuster “Ghostbusters” franchise.
The studio has set “The Office” co-exec producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky to write a script for a film designed to bring back together the original cast of Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson.

Five-time Emmy Winner and Adapter of “The Office” Will Accept Award at October Festival
AUSTIN, Texas Sept. 4, 2008 — The Austin Film Festival (AFF) will honor writer, producer and director Greg Daniels with the 2008 Outstanding Television Writer Award at the 15th Annual Austin Film Festival (Oct. 16-23, 2008). Daniels will receive the award at the Austin Film Festival Awards Luncheon presented by AT&T on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 at the Austin Club.
AFF co-founder and Executive Director Barbara Morgan said, “We’re thrilled to honor Greg Daniels for his contribution to ground-breaking comedic television on four landmark series all still on the air: “Saturday Night Live,” “The Simpsons,” “King of the Hill” and “The Office.” Throughout his work, Daniels represents the innovative spirit of the Outstanding Television Writer Award. A Final Message from Rainn Wilson
Dear MySpace community of the late Jenna Fischer
There was an unfortunate end to one half of the ‘JAM’ phenomenon due to the unfortunate box office performance of my new motion picture comedy film, ‘The Rocker’.
Ms Jenna Fischer was buried yesterday after 15 days in my trunk. Dehydration and emotional neglect. No peach smoothie for America’s sweetheart, I’m afraid. You can see actual footage of this event on my (failed) promotional website www.FREEJENNANOW.com
As you can see from the videotape cassette, Miss Phyllis Smith has agreed to spend some time in the back seat of my Firebird to help out in my new quest, the pursuit of the coveted ‘Emmy’ award statuette.
Well, the pressure is now off of all of your collective shoulders, but The Rocker, a truly fun, sweet and funny comedy, is still at a theatre near you, entertaining literally hundreds of people across this great nation. Check it out!
