Tonight: a supersized Casino Night

  • NBC airs the supersized version of Casino Night tonight; check your local listings.
  • For those of you new to The Office, Casino Night is the Season 2 finale, originally aired on May 11, 2006, and written by none other than Steve Carell.
  • It is, to put it mildly, a stupendous episode.
  • Here is the petition that got us an extra ten minutes for tonight’s episode, and here are some of my favorite entries from that petition: 1-1000 | 1001-2000
  • If you have a copy of the Season 2 DVD, check out the commentary for Casino Night on disc 4, around minute 7:30, when executive producer Greg Daniels talks about the petition. OfficeTally, Northern Attack, and Give Me My Remote are all mentioned by name. WOO-HOO!
  • And last but not least, if you’re an East Coaster, watch the show tonight while chatting with fellow Office fanatics at BuddyTV, hosted by OfficeTally gal pal GMMR! I attended the chat last week, and it was quite fun.

Greg Daniels to blog live on premiere night

Greg Daniels, executive producer of The Office, will blog live at NBC.com after The Office Season 3 premiere next Thursday, September 21st.

… nbc.com will feature live premiere blogs from the creators, producers or cast members for every show on the air … All new, returning, scripted or reality shows will host a live blog immediately after the premiere episode. Viewers will be encouraged to engage in a dialogue with the creator, producer or cast member about the episode as soon as the broadcast concludes.

Best Buy’s DVD Severance Package

As mentioned in The Office Season 2 DVD store specials post, Best Buy is selling an Office DVD Severance Package, including DVDs for both Season 1 and Season 2, and a nice little set of goodies.

The box design is clever — it looks like a Mini-Me version of a real business moving box. It’s the perfect size for storing your Office DVDs, and maybe even a couple more!

And you must try calling the phone number listed on Dwight’s business card:
1-800-984-DMPC

Target’s Booze Cruise video blog package

As mentioned in The Office Season 2 DVD store specials post, Target is selling The Office Season 2 DVD with an extra goodie: a video blog filmed by Jenna Fischer during the “Booze Cruise” episode.

A few notes about this package:

  • At my local Target, there were Office DVDs labeled with the Booze Cruise sticker, and others that weren’t. Make sure you get the one with the sticker! The sticker says “Target Exclusive Bonus Content Booze Cruise Video Blog!”
  • The Target package has a total of four discs, same as the standard set. While the Sunday ad shows that Disc 4 (the one with Pam) contains the special video, in my package it was Disc 2 (the one with Dwight). The disc is clearly labeled “Includes Exclusive Bonus Content: ‘Booze Cruise’ video blog.”
  • The video blog is about eight minutes long.
