What’s your favorite part of The Office set?

I am going to be filmed tomorrow giving a tour of The Office set!

(Yes, I am super crazy excited.)

I want to make sure I hit all the good stuff, so that’s where I need your help:

What is your favorite part of The Office set and why?

UPDATE Thu Jan 19, 7pm PT: I’m moderating Pool Party comments while waiting for my flight out of Bob Hope Airport (a blogger’s job is never done!). Yep, flew in this morning, and flying back home tonight. Full day on The Office set, but a little bit different from my past set visits in that 1) most of the morning was spent being interviewed by Reveille, 2) the time I got to spend watching scenes being filmed was not on the main set, but in a crowded hallway, and 3) most of the cast was off today. Still, I love coming here! Got to stand about 10 feet away watching some groundbreaking Jim/Dwight interaction being shot, and learned some interesting stuff about upcoming episodes and guest stars. And tried to take as many pictures as I could, based on your requests! Hope to post more this weekend. :)

The Office Set Visit 2010

Here (finally!) are photos from my March 24-26 visit to the set of The Office. At that time, they were filming Season 6’s “The Chump” and the season finale episode “Whistleblower.”

They needed to shoot two episodes simultaneously because that was Steve Carell’s last week of shooting for the season. This means that for the three days I was there, Steve appeared in EVERY scene that was shot. That totaled to over 30 scenes and more than 30 hours on set!

60 photos of my visit start on page 2. Enjoy!

Photos of the day: set visit 2010

I visited The Office set in March while they filmed the last two episodes of Season 6 (what they call “cross-boarding”).

A more detailed report will come later of course, but here are a few non-spoilerish photos. Enjoy! :)

Wednesday, March 24

B.J. Novak Mindy Kaling

B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling get their makeup touched up by LaVerne right before shooting the Anthropologie scene in The Office episode The Chump.

Right before I took the photo, I said to them, “I’m taking an action shot of you guys, don’t look at the camera!” Mindy started laughing and B.J. looked straight at the camera. :)

More photos starting on the next page.

Heading down to The Office

March 22, 2010

I’m back at home now. I spent three amazing days on set and on location as they crossboarded the filming of the last two episodes of The Office.

They needed to shoot two episodes simultaneously because Friday was Steve Carell’s last day of shooting for the season. This means that for the three days I was there, Steve appeared in EVERY scene that was shot. That totaled to over 30 scenes and more than 30 hours on set!

I was truly inspired by Steve’s stamina and grace and good humor through it all.

I might post a few more non-spoilerish photos of the day, but aside from that, I won’t be posting any more information until we get closer to the Season 6 finale on May 20th.

A GINORMOUS thank you once again to everyone at The Office for letting me come and hang out. Every night I would go back to my hotel utterly exhausted, barely able to stand or speak. I honestly don’t know how y’all do it!

xoxo to all. :) Jennie

P.S. Here is the OfficeTally archive of past set visits.
